Chapter 12 Am I Truly a Monster?

Me and Jeff stare blankly into each other's eyes. What just happened? Why did this just happen? What does this mean for us? I pushed Jeff away in a quick fashion and before I knew it I was out the door and to my room. I opened the door and slammed it shut. I was starting to slide down my door when I heard movement. Sitting on my bed was a clown, no that doesn't quite describe him. Whatever the case may be there was a stranger in my room! "Ah so you're the bosses daughter eh? Salutations I'm Laughing Jack, I'll be living in the cottage as of now" his voice was high pitched and jolly. I didn't buy that shit for a minute.

Without saying a word I took him by his hand and threw him into the hallway. He went down with a thud and a few chuckles. I ignored it and slammed the door shut. I haven't even talked to that creature yet and I already don't like him. He seems fake. Like a porcelain doll on the top shelf of some creepy house. I threw myself down on my bed. I couldn't think. So much has happened within the span of a few months. I met Liu, avoided my friends like the plague because of who Liu was. Broke one of my best friends heart. My mother is dead and my school burnt to a crisp. Things can't get any worse. I lay on my bed like a vampire. My hair was all over the place. My hazel eyes scan the ceiling, black with white and yellow dots, maybe to simulate stars? I don't know. I suddenly found myself into a deep depression that I haven't felt since age thirteen. I was hospitalized for numbers of reasons. I got bullied a lot as a kid. Some kids called me a which and burnt my wrist while others would push me down stairs and push books out of my hand. It happened before I was thirteen. Back when my hair was so black it looked blue. I honestly still looked 12 and it bothered me. I was so short. I never broke up in acne. I had a soft baby face and it drove me insane. I shook my head and decided to take a walk in the woods.

*time skip to woods*

I was about halfway through the woods when I heard twigs snapping and girls laughing. I looked over to see it was the girls from my school that used to harass me and my friends. The one tall blonde looked my way and nudge her friends to look at me. It was cold out. Cold as ice. They all came up to me and started saying awful things. "I bet your mom crashed that car on purpose because YOURE her daughter!" "I bet she set the school on fire! What a fucking freak!" *CRACK* "Cmon hit her in the ribs and stomach more! After all that's where Derick used to hit her!" Derick... I haven't heard that name in quite some time. My moms ex boyfriend. He used to beat the living shit out of me and her up until he died some how. *CRUNCH!* I jolted in pain. They hit me so hard that some of my ribs cracked. Everything was going black and static filled my ears. Suddenly the girls were screaming too. "AH MAKE THAT NOISE STOP!" "SOMEBODY HELP US!" That's when things when completely black. Silence. For what seemed like not even seconds. An ear piercing scream from one, one begging for another, one standing up for herself, and another giving up in fear. That's what I could make out of those voices.

*Two hours later*

I woke up with my eyes fluttering. It was dark out now. Maybe 5 o'clock. My body had slid down a tree. I sat in the snow. I put my hand down to get up. Blood, no a blood trail. I looked around me. The girls were dead. They'd been ripped to shreds. Guts and organs hung out of one girl, while another was impaled into a tree. Who did this? I then looked down at my legs and hands, white, pure white. Stains of red complimented my newly found Snow White skin. I got up careful not to reck my new black coat which probably was already ruined enough. I took off past the girls. What should I do? I can't go home. Not now. Then it hit me.... moms old house. I swung the door open with no time to waste. I ran to the upstairs bathroom. I looked in the mirror to see that my face was different I had porcelain white skin, blood red eyes, I was taller. What was happening? I shook my head and started to wash up the blood. "Looks like you could use some help" I looked over to the bathroom door to see Eve standing there with her hand out. I furrowed my brows at her wondering what the catch was. She simply took my hand and walked me out of my old house and back into the woods. Her skin was white but not nearly as white as mine now, I was taller than her now. Everything seemed to be going slowly, like time had decided to take its time. "EVE!" Zack ran up to her arm and practically grabbed me and pulled her into a hug. "Don't go anywhere without telling me or bring me first! I was scared to death!" He screamed as I saw tears roll down his face. Eve was hushing him and holding him. I felt bad. I felt a hand on my shoulder and practically jumped. My father stood behind me.

He held me out, looked me up and down, then smiled. "I see you've grown into your powers, this is good" he said with a smile. I smiled a big smile at him back. He kissed my forehead and walked me into cottage. Eve and Zack followed close behind. My father waved me off and went to the kitchen. Probably to start dinner. Ben day on a he couch playing GTA alone. I decided to sit next to him and watching him. Zack and Eve sat on the floor. I noticed Zack giving Ben puppy eyes anytime Ben talked or even won the game. Awe that's so cute. I nudged Ben and secretly signaled him to look to the left. He looked and smiled with a wink at Zack. That kid turned into a fucking tomato I swear. I really did think it was cute. At least Zack knew who he wanted.

"Dinner children!" My father called from the kitchen. I sat in the same spot I always did expect... this time is was so awkward! I was sitting next to Jeff and Liu who are brothers whom I also happened to kiss, and Jane who will kill me if she finds out about anything like that. After dinner I quickly ran upstairs only to be grabbed by someone and thrown into a VERY familiar room. "J-Jeff what is it?" I asked trying to sound less nervous. Jeff didn't answer he just kissed me. I pushed him away. "Jeff I'm with Liu!" Jeff shook his head. "Technically you two aren't official you know? So that's why I was gonna ask you to be my girlfriend?" I choked at the response. If I had the choice I wouldn't be dating anyone. I shook my head at Jeff. "I don't know what or who I want right now, in all honesty if you and Liu continue this maybe I won't be able to find out who I want. Jeff backed up with a shocked look on his face. His eyes became soft and he only kissed me again in response. "Then let's keep doing this in secret" he said while looking directly into my eyes. Oh. My. God. He's so amazing. I simply nodded in return. Suddenly Jeff and I fell back on his bed. Our lips interlocked and our legs danced together. His hands found my waist and my arms around his neck. He taste like blood and alcohol, he smelt like cigarettes and woodsy. My fingers went through his charcoal burnt hair as our lips fought for dominance, Jeff bit my bottom lip making me yelp in response. His tongue explored my mouth until suddenly he started putting his hand up my shirt which caught me back into reality. I pulled back and grabbed Jeff's head. My blood red eyes looked into his blue dull eyes. "Jeff if my father or Liu finds out they'll kill you! Are you crazy!!?" He chuckled "Yeah for you" he said pushing his lips to mine again. Oh my god. He's so amazing. I pushed him away again. "Let me think on that okay?" I said while walking towards the door. Jeff waved me goodbye and I went to my room. After I put on my PJ's I flopped down on my bed and opened a book I had been reading for awhile The Fault in our Stars. What a beautiful book. I sat reading it... yet I couldn't get Jeff out of my head. This is awful, the only reason I'm here is because of Liu. But if we weren't meant to be would it be worse to lead him on??? Oh god I hope I can figure this out. After all there's no chance of me being even more confused with more guys. It's a funny thought really. *knock knock* "Daughter there's new proxies I need to introduce to everyone" my father said from the outside of the door. "Oh coming daddy!" I said before putting my book away. I bolted towards the door, down the stairs and went to the kitchen. Everyone was standing. Who could be this important that EVERYONE needed to be here. "Sigh as sad as I am to say this, my brothers will be moving in and start working for me. Please be careful. Mama didn't
Teach them manners like me." I tilted my head at my father. Not long after that two tall beings walked in. One had a face that looked like a mask. A creepy one at that. A jumpsuit that's color full and pika dots. The other wore glasses and a brown vest and white button up shirt. "BROTHER" the face one yelled. My father stopped him half way. "If you're living in my house you're staying in human form you hear!?" My father hissed at them. "Yeah yeah already on it" the one with glasses said. I looked over to see a human man standing where the creature just was. Brown hair and brown eyes, I looked over to the happy one and saw instead a blonde haired blue eyes man. What was happening!?! "You must be our brothers daughter." I heard the glasses one say to me. "Don't even think about it!" My father hissed towards him "I'm gay brother don't worry. " "and you don't have to worry about me!" The happy one said. "Sigh Hannah dear these are my brothers, Trender and Splender, and-Wait where is he?!" "Where's who?" I asked before my father could answer a voice came from behind me. "I'm right here dearest older brother" I looked behind me to see a man with a cigarette in his mouth, long greyish white hair, a fedora, open trench coat, no shirt, beautiful blue almost white eyes, with army boots, leaning up against the wall with a smirk on his face. "Brother you shouldn't be selfish, you've been hold out, say darlin what's your name?"
