I Saw You In The Stars (Pt. 1)

I been calling your name in this universe.

I got you-niverse.

The lyrics replayed in his head as he stared up at the night sky. It was always night. It sickened him - the stars wouldn't stop twinkling nor shining, acting as if they hadn't cursed him.

His fate was written in them, and apparently the stars had decided to write a tragedy. His life was falling apart like the stars that died every now and then, falling to the ground in a ball of flames that nobody could see but him.

He despised the sky - the damned spheres of fire had ruined him as a person - he couldn't stand the sight of it.

But it was all he could see.

He couldn't see the light of day.

After all:

stars could only see themselves.

Earth had a specific girl. She was gorgeous, no matter how many times she said she wasn't, or said she was plain.

Much like the star, she couldn't see her own worth.

But unlike the star, she loved the night sky.

The moon shone beautifully (MIN MOONGI- ok sorry- I saw the opportunity) during the darkness, and Stella couldn't help but stare at the small speckles of stars across the infinite sky.

One star in particular had always caught her eye. The one directly above her at seemingly all times. At night, she would go out, and stare up. It felt as if the star was made for her.

He felt joy when the girl looked up at him.

He had never been recognized before - but for the first time in his long life, he had been noticed. Someone constantly looked to him, using him as a way of comfort in a way to love themself.

That was the only thing he had, really. Everything and everyone else seemed too distant for him to care about. He didn't have a reason to continue lighting up the night - besides, millions upon billions of other stars could do the job - but this girl.

She made him have hope.

He never had that feeling before. Sure, when he was close with Seokjin, he was alright with himself. But he was assigned to a human. He became a comfort star for a girl in another country - America, to be exact - and he had lost his closest friend.

Hoseok never assigned him to anyone, however. So he was alone. Never allowed to show himself during the day when Stella had a breakdown, and never allowed to be there for her in his human form, because he was never given anyone to look after.

He felt shattered inside. He was unable to help her in her worst times. All he could be was a star that sparkled dimly in the sky at night, and most of the time, Stella was asleep before she could see him.

It hurt.

It hurt him more than it did when he was slammed in the face with an asteroid, becoming a falling star.

Stella watched the sky as her star started to plummet to the Earth. Why was it becoming a shooting star? It was always still, sitting without moving, so why would it move?

Did something happen?

Her friend Justina had told her legends about stars that fell to the Earth and were turned into people. She said it happened to her, but it was one of the millions of cosmos instead.

How delusional.

She probably just saw a cute boy and thought it was a blessing from the sky.

Stella knew better than to believe that nonsense. How the hell could people form from stars?

It was idiotic.

Namjoon.

The name flashed in his mind, branding itself into his brain.

It was his. He had a human name.

He was no longer a star.

He was a person - tumbling down to Earth in a blinding light.

He didn't feel anything other than emptiness while he fell. He didn't feel the heat of the flames. He didn't feel the tears that slipped through his eyelids.

He felt nothing.

The lyrics he wrote were meaningless. Now he would become a normal, useless human, just like everyone else on the Earth.

He then noticed the direction he was falling in.

Why was her star falling downwards?

Was it going to form into a person in front of her?

She grabbed her jacket and ran outside, not caring how freezing it was. She stared up at the sky, seeing the blindingly bright star plummet to the ground.

It landed with a large shudder that only she seemed to notice.

It was a man.

He had dusty purple hair and gorgeous, deep brown eyes. They held pieces of the star he ones was in them.

She then remembered what Justina had told her.

Maybe she was experiencing the same thing.

His smooth voice cut through the piercingly silent night - just like a warm knife cutting through butter.

"Hello.. I'm Namjoon. It's nice to finally meet you, Stella."
