Allens POV

Today has been going unbelievably slow. I hardly made more than 5 sales for the funnel cakes. This is a pretty big event for the whole town. I dont know why no one's hardly showing up. I thought everybody liked a good old fashioned funnel cake every once in awhile.

I leaned against the counter and rested my chin on my hand. I began looking out the window boredly, when my eyes laid eyes in a certain red head across from me.

I wonder what that thing was about earlier. I mean don't get me wrong, i was honored to be in such a presence of a beautiful man, but why me?

Just look at that, over there looking all hot and attractive. I wonder who the next lucky customer for Lavi is gonna be.

As if I thought to soon, a girl with short brown curly hair and a pale face, walked over to a patiently waiting Lavi. The girl walked towards him with the correct amount of money in the palm of her hand. Lavi gladly took the money and placed it in a jar labeled "kiss payments." I hadn't actually seen Lavi get that many customers either now that I think about it. Which means I haven't seen him kiss anyone yet.

I watched intensely with a hint of jealously, as Lavi cupped the girls face and slowly brought hers towards his. He gave her a wink and smile, before he proceeded to peck her lips gently. He looked behind her hair and towards me. He began smirking at me. I shot daggers into his eyes as a blush threatened to form across my face.

"Hey, how's the funnel cake business going so far?"

I nearly jumped from my spot as Road asked behind me, while sucking on a strawberry sucker.

"Oi! Don't go sneaking up behind people!" I  shouted.

"I didn't sneak up on you. People who usually say that we're doing something. Eh Allen, what were you doing?" Asked road as she leaned closer to his ear.

"N-Nothing"

"You were spying on that guy over there smooching it up weren't you." Road said as she pointed him out while still sucking on her sucker. Lavi smiled brightly and waved cheerfully.

"Yeah." I said in defeat and embarassment.

"Kissing booth eh?" she twirled the sucker in her mouth,"I wonder if he's any good at what he's doing. Hey Allen, wanna go find out?" She asked.

"No, I don't want to find out." I said firmly.

"Fine, suit yourself then." Said Road as she began walking over to Lavi.

"Wait what?"

I turned my attention back to the window, seeing Road staying in front of the area and taking out 5O cents, then placing it in the jar.

She grabbed his scarf and pulled him in for a full on kiss. Lavi's eye widened in surpise, but kissed back to carry out his job.

My eyes widened and my mouth was open, with pure shock and frustration.

Road let go of Lavi and broke the kiss. She looked at him and grinned then said "Yep, he sure is Allen."

I face planted my face onto the cold counter. Then raised it again when I heard Lavi's sweet voice ask "He sure is what?"

"A good kisser of course~" Road smiled, "I could tell Allen wanted to know but was way to shy to actually find out for himself, so I did for him."

"You're welcome, and you owe me 5O cents by the way!" Shouted Road, "Well I should go help him out now, Chao." She walked back to the cart with a huge grin.

As soon as she returned I threw a book at her. "What the hell was that even about?!"

"Whoah, calm down book boy. I'm not here to steal your man okay? I figured you would have wanted to know if he was worthy of your virgin lips or not, so I found out for you." Road smirked.

"Yeah whatever. Did you get the job done?"

I asked impatently.

"Do you see a watch on me anywhere?" She said to me in a snooty way.

"Why are you a snarky smartass all the time huh?"I asked, honestly curious for an answer.

"I don't know, it's just part of my nature. Don't like it? Well get use to it." She shrugged.

There was a tap on the glass window.

"Well it looks like the tough work has finally arrived. I'm gonna go have some real fun now that the suns down." She smiled innocently.

"What?! You can't just leave me here! You're supposed to be helping me." I demanded.

"I did, I told you that the guy you're crushing on is a really good kisser and you should go for it." Road rolled her eyes, "My work here is done." She said as she left.

A voice called my name and I slid the door to the left and came face to face with a smiling Lavi.

I grabbed a spoon and pointed it to his face.

"What do you want rabbit?"

"Relax, I'm not here to grope you yet. I was just wondering if you had a normal amount of customers today." He asked.

"Oh, no not really. I wanna figure out what's going around here though." I said.

"Me too, say why don't we go take a look around together eh? Like they do in the movies?" Nudged Lavi.

"Fine, but we're only looking, got that?" I said sharply before putting down the spoon.

"Sure okay, let's go!" Lavi grabbed Allens hand through the glass window and proceeded to yank Allen out of there and drag him along the pathway.
