After getting the beetroot seeds, she left Henry's tent and walked to the edge of the market. Allison reached out her hand, and felt that it was already beginning to sprinkle.

She jumped into the air, hoping to get home quickly.

She flew at about the same speed she had flown when she was heading towards the market. She wanted to get home fast, but she also wanted to be careful of the glass potions she was carrying. She didn't want them to break.

Soon the rain was pouring, and it was getting harder and harder for her to keep up. The winds tossed her around like a toy.

"Urgh," she muttered, spitting out water that landed in her mouth as she panted for breath. "I'm just gonna land."

She tried to land carefully, but the wind thought otherwise. It harshly shoved her to the ground, and she face planted into a puddle.

She shakily stood up, wiping off her face. "Well, that was great." She said to herself with sarcasm.

She picked up her case of potions, along with the bag of beetroot seeds. She began walking, before wondering, how far away am I from home?

Oh geez, I hope it's not super far.

Allison sighed, before continuing on, occasionally stepping in mud puddles. Lightning boomed above her, and gave the forest around her an eerie glow. She started to feel on edge, perking her dragon ears and her eyes changing to dark blue again with worry.

I hope there aren't any monsters around, they would make this ten times worse.

An arrow flew past her head, narrowly missing her horns. She whipped her head around to see who shot it, and it was just her luck - a skeleton was hiding in between two trees, and was ready to shoot another arrow.

She let out a little growl. Great, I must have jinxed it. She dropped her things and summoned a void ball. It took a second to prepare, but soon she took her arms back and threw it at the skeleton.

It took a step back but it was already too late - it became engulfed in the purple matter, and began to decay, despite it already being dead.

"Neat." She said to herself. She was getting better and better with accuracy every day.

But right now, that didn't matter. She needed to get home.

Allison quickly ran back to her things, and picked them up before beginning to jog to get home faster. She dodged any monsters who tried to attack her, and managed to outrun any who tried to follow her.

Her muscles screamed for rest, but she refused to stop. She needed to get home. She was practically drowning on land, with the storm pounding rain on her, and her panting for breath through her mouth.

It was getting harder to see by the minute. She could barely see two feet in front of her, but she  continued on, holding out a weak and shaky hand in front of her just in case she were to bump into something.

Eventually, after what seemed like hours of running, her hand touched something hard and rough. The rest of her body crashed into the object, unable to slow down with the short notice.

She let out an "ugh" as she felt her body begin to shut down from the cold and overload of running. She slid down the side of the object, unable to keep standing. She dropped her items to the side, and drew her legs closer to her body to conserve warmth.

She let her head rest against the rough side of the object, and looked up. Branches exploded from the object's top, yielding leaves and other dead branches.

She immediately knew where she was.

"I'm... s-so close..." she whispered to herself as she shivered. She was under the old oak tree. It was no more than 200-300 feet away from her house, but she didn't have the strength to move or to yell for help.

Allison sighed, wrapping her wings around herself like a cocoon. I'll just have to wait until I gather my strength, she thought.

Soon, her eyelids fell and she fell asleep.

But someone nearby was wanting that to happen.

Kat looked out the window, waiting for Allison. She crossed her arms, watching the rain pour down outside.

"She'd better get back quickly, she's not gonna do great out there on her own." She said to herself. She can't warm up well on her own, what is she going to do if she has to stop?"

She sighed, shaking her head. "That darn reptilian side of her is gonna kill her one day."

She turned around to face the basement, where Allison made a new bedroom for herself since Kat moved in and took the second floor as her own. They also used the basement as a lab to make the antidote to Allison's tail venom. Well, they haven't successfully made it yet, but it was getting there.

Thunder crackled above the house, seeming to shake the ground with every spark. Kat went back to the window to look for Allison. No sign of her.

She punched the counter, but not enough to leave a dent. "Where is she? She's gonna die out there, and I can't do anything!"

Well, she thought, calming down. It is water, but it's water coming from weather. I can't control it if it's caused by weather. She let out a groan; she hated feeling useless.

"What if... what if she can't see the house?" She said to herself. "What if she's close but she just needs light to see it?"

She ran down the flight of stairs and into the basement. She went past Allison's bed and opened the door to the storage room. Inside, there were a few unlit lanterns. She grabbed them and hurried back upstairs.

She went into the kitchen and scrambled to find the lighter. It was only used if Allison wasn't home or if she couldn't use her fire magic.

Kat hastily opened the lanterns and flicked the lighter until it produced an orange flame, and stuck it into the metal box to light the candle inside. Once all of them were lit, she closed the lids and brought them all outside.

She felt for the hooks connected to the ceiling of the patio, and hung a lantern up every time she found one. When all of them were gone, she rushed back inside to continue watching for her friend.

A moment later, she facepalmed herself. "She has night vision, you idiot! She doesn't need those!" She began to march back outside to take them down, before realizing something.

"She's probably too weak out there to use her magic, including something as simple as that. She's completely powerless out there if it gets too cold." She said to herself as she walked back to the window.

She sighed, feeling a tear threatening to fall.

"Allison, please come home."

And she let it fall.
