The wind blows
The birds chirp
The stream flows
And the bees slurp
The sun shines
The sky's clear
The insects fly
And the children peer
From these lines
You form a picture
Behind your eyes
The setting whispers
Happiness, you think
But that's all wrong
And now you're thinking
Well what's going on?
The sky's not blue
Now it's grey
The wind is full
Of foul smells
The birds were chirping
But now they're choking
And that stream
Is full of grime
The bees are trying to escape
Collecting the nectar that they can take
The insects follow but not for long
Now they're dead this has to stop
The sun's not shining
In fact it's gone
The children scream
And run to hide
I thought you knew this all along
I guess this proves that I was wrong
The world is changing before our eyes
And one day it'll all be gone
This poem is changing, too
Now it's sad and barely rhymes
Protect our earth because you know
That one day it could dissolve
Don't litter
Clean up our world
And then it may not be so bitter
