"You don't know what love is."
And who are you to tell me this?
Do you know what love is?
Yes,
Because a women who is getting divorced for the third time knows exactly what love is.
Yes,
Because a man who beats his children knows what love is.
We scold and belittle young when they claim to love,
But isn't it ourselves whom do not know love?
Isn't love seen when a little boy gives up his favorite candy bar to his younger sister?
Isn't it seen as a mother smiles down at her rocking child,
Even though she was woken at 3 in the morning?
Isn't love when two third graders stand next to each other,
Hand in hand when prying eyes of peers don't agree with the linked fingers?
When two high school freshmen of the same sex still kiss after getting beaten for the act in the first place?
And yet you still tell me I do not know love.
Love is a feeling that no one has yet been able to describe,
Nor understand.
No, not even Shakespeare.
It's been "demonstrated" through movies and books,
But is 'The Notebook' really a depiction of all love?
No.
No two cases of love are the same,
Because no two people are the same.
Love is an individual.
An experience different each time.
So do not tell me I do not know Love,
When Love isn't known in the first place.
