She was betrothed to Francis, son and heir of Antoine, Duke of Lorraine when she was 11 and he was 10 (1527)

it was considered "unofficial" and was cancelled in 1535

Henry dispatched his painter Hans Holbein to Düren to paint Anne and her younger sister Amaila, accurately not to flatter the girls

Henry chose Anne although she had no education and could only read and write in German

Henry met her privately on New Year's 1540 she payed him little attention it is unknown if she knew it was the king or not

they met Formally on January 3rd

She was not what he expected so he urged for legal ways to not do the marriage but failed

they were married January 6th

the Marriage was annulled on July 9th 1540

after annulment

Henry and Anne became good friends she was referred to as "the King's Beloved Sister". She was invited to court often out of gratitude for her not contesting the annulment, Henry decreed that she would be more important over all women in England even his wife(s) and daughters

after Catherine Howard was beheaded Anne and her brother pressed Henry to remarry Anne but he quickly refused

Anne outlived all the Queens not to surprising since one died of a sickness and was banned, 2 were beheaded and one died shortly after giving birth to his son anyway back to it

Anne was there at Mary's coronation

When Anne first started to fall ill, Mary allowed her to live at Chelsea Old Manor where Catherine Parr lived after Henry passed

Anne died at Chelsea Old Manor on July 16th 1557,  2 months before her 42nd birthday

before she died she asked Mary and Elizabeth to employ her servants even after leaving them money

She is the only wife of Henry VIII to be buried in the Abbey

her believed cause of death was Cancer

She was the last to die but was not the longest living Queen

the longest living Queen would've been Catherine of Aragon who died at the age of 50
