The tour bus was in Oklahoma heading for Pennsylvania it was starting to become evening and Maverick was live streaming on tik tok, with Cailee by his side. Cash came into the room to see what his brother was doing, he saw that mav was live-streaming and decided to leave him alone he was tired anyway.
Then cash started having a coughing fit which got Mavericks attention, "You ok buddy?" Maverick asked gently, "yeah I'm fine *cough* I choked *cough* on my water" cash lied knowing he was coming down with something, he just left the room and to bed early, no one noticed but his mom who knew an early bedtime for cash was impossible and something was up.
The next day they were in Kentucky and going through a neighborhood when all of a sudden the bus started making weird noises they pulled over into a coldesac and into the first driveway they saw then the bus completely shut down, James got out and checked the engine that was smoking, so he told everyone to get out.
When they were out the residents of the home they parked in front of, came out of their house in confusion, the father of the family Omar Aracena was confused as to why there was a broken down bus on his driveway whilst his children Deborah (⬅️me) Immanuel and Micah (15, 12 and 11) were freaking out for they had recognized this bus and cash and maverick and their parents.
Everyone was outside the bus and James introduced himself to Omar and Omar remembered shaking James hand at the concert he just took his kids too so he knew his kids were probably freaking out.
Cash And Maverick stood next to their mother as James explained their situation to Omar.
After their dad and James had some conversation Omar's kids pulled him aside and told him that the bakers could stay with them, Immanuel and Micah told their dad that they would clean three times more then usual and Deborah said she'd cook every meal, just begging him to offer a place for them to stay for the night, their father thought and eventually gave in.
"Sir would you like to stay here in my house until you can get help for your bus it's getting late anyway?" Omar offered to James, James thought about it for a second and asked "wouldn't we be a bother?" And Omar replied with "of course not" so James and him agreed that hey would stay until further notice.
Omar led the way into their house whilst his kids went upstairs to get a few things for the bakers to use to sleep in their extra living room.
They brought down memory foams and an air bed and put their two couches in their extra living room, so they put the small couch where Tara was going to sleep against one wall and put cash's memory foam right next to the couch and put the air bed where maverick would sleep next to their bigger couch where James would sleep, they brought down blankets and pillows for them to use.
Deborah cooked (cuz I'm a freaking maid in my house jk jk 😂)
And everyone ate and enjoyed the meal (cuz I'm a freaking cook or you could say I'm a baker 😎😏)
The bakers knew they were fans but Deborah Immanuel and Micah were different they weren't going to make them feel uncomfortable because their celebs they were going to treat them like normal people.
After dinner as Deborah Immanuel and Micah were doing their chores cash asked permission from his mom if he could go to to bed now, she looked at the clock and replied with "its 9:15 you sure?" And he simply nodded and let him go while James Omar and maverick were having a conversation.
Later that evening when everyone was in bed and asleep James and Tara were talking about the tour and how their going to fix the bus and stuff when James mentioned something about the tour wearing out the boys, "it seems like after every show their just so worn out and maverick keeps drinking so much of that Red Bull stuff he's going to get sick" James said to which Tara replied with, "I think cash is getting sick, he's been going to bed early and really quiet lately." She said calmly, "you think so?" James asked as Tara put her hand to Cash's forehead, "yeah he's pretty warm" she said, "I'll ask tomorrow if they have ibuprofen or something" Tara said and went to bed.
The next morning was a battle between Deborah and her five year old sister Katherine, you see Katherine's very social and her knowing people were downstairs was like a magnet to metal, so Deborah tried to keep Katherine upstairs and quiet.
When Deborah knew that at least James and Tara were awake she went downstairs with Katherine to make breakfast for everyone.
Tara and James talked while breakfast was getting done and Katherine of course was interacting with them until Deborah lent Katherine her phone.
Tara and James food was served and Deborah started on Mavericks since he had gotten up now after his parents food was served.
He was having his breakfast when cash woke up to sit at the table while his pancake was being made.
"Good morning son" Tara said to cash as he sat down, "morning" he slurred still in a sleepy state.
"Hon you went to bed at 9:15 last night and slept straight through the night and it's almost eleven that's thirteen hours straight are you ok?" She asked calmly and nicely, he simply nodded and shivered.
She wrapped her arm around him and rubbed his shoulder a little and he leaned into her embrace without her having to pull him in, he just leaned into her which he does still cuddle her but not like this.
She simply let him lean into her and held him, she ran her hand through his hair and checked his temperature, "You ok sweetie?" She asked him to which he shivered and cuddled closer.
Maverick looked at him and tapped him and asked "you ok buddy?" No response he was just to tired and sick.
(And I Deborah was sooooooo "NOT" recording the whole thing 😉)
Tara asked Deborah for some ibuprofen and some water (because not everyone can swallow pills without water duh) she gave her them and he took it fine but was still in Tara's arms.
Maverick helped carry cash to the couch and Tara sat next to him, his head in her lap and she was running her hand through his hair. 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
