"TURTLE!" Kinkajou yelled. "IT'S HATCHING!!!"
Turtle flew over to their hatchery. Turtle and Kinkajou had moved to the old summer palace and built a hatchery inside it. Their egg was hatching finally.
"Crack. crack." the top of the egg popped off. "Burble."
A gorgeous dragonet popped out of the egg. She had scales constantly changing colors and a rainwing tail, no doubt from her mother.
He took a look closer at her scales. She had a wave pattern moving on her forehead, webbed talons, and her scales- they were glowing. He stopped to look at this strange phenomenon and heard Kinkajou laughing.
"she's got seawing glowing scales!" she chortled.
The baby lifted her wings. On the underside was her father's royal glow pattern. they weren't glowing, however. They were blue.
Blue like the sky, blue like the waves . . .
"what will we call her?" Kinkajou asked. He grinned.
"Aquamarine."
"It's perfect."
Little did her parents know the power hidden in their baby's talons, her sweet face not forever.
She had a choice. Hide or reveal, be good or bad.
Use her power . . . or not.
