Caroline was trying to convince a girl that no one cared for her and she was better off leaving the world. She was so amused by how stupid people had to be to fall for these tricks. However, when she was doing this, someone else came into the room that she was in.
Back in Hell, there were stories about how angels threw the demons out of Heaven because they didn't see them as theirselves. So when her mind fitted in the pieces to tell that the girl that walked in was an angel, her heart dropped and she panicked.
Grace did the same, she softly gasped and stumbled away. Neither Grace nor Caroline knew what to do. Caroline was the first to act, by flying (they could obviously fly through solids, they weren't living beings). Grace, still in shock, decided to leave it like that and help the girl.
