For so long she had wanted to leave this place, even just for a minute. She wasn't strong enough to fight back anymore and the whiteness and drugs numbed her senses even more. She knew this was driving her mad as her usually constant screams were dulled to small gasps when another human being would walk in her cell. She didnt want to hear the bangs on the door as the guards ran in to check up on her so she began to whimper and pull at her restraints. She stopped moving as soon as the needle hit her skin and she fell back on her bed. She quieted and watched the guards. She didnt want to sleep because she knew who she would wake up to. Suddenly she started to sing a tune she had heard from the patient in the room next to hers "we sit quiet and follow like sheep, when we fight back they put us to sleep" she started to feel light headed but she just sang louder "but what secrets do they really keep, how did the city of death get its name? shouldn't we be scared..." her vision went blurry and her eyes were half closed but she just spoke up. Her voice raising until the sound bounced around the room "the green grass and the blue sky just makes me cry, ill get there even if I die, I'll fight back ill ..." her sentence went unfinished as her hand fell limp off the bed. Her greyish brown eyes sliding shut and her brown hair scattering across the bed.

"What do you think we should do?" One if the many guards now standing in the cramped room asked. "She's to rebellious, we need to tell the boss" another guard spoke up smiling. As if on cue a tall, lanky black haired woman strode into the room. Immediately the guards made a straight path to the bed. Murmurs started radiating through the guards as their boss examined the girl. "She needs to be put somewhere...safer." the boss said with a slight twang of hate in her voice. One of the guards chuckled and whispered "safer for us" examining the scratches across the restraints and many of their arms. His boss glared and walked up to the smallest guard in the room, a strawberry blonde with blue eyes. She was the only other girl in the room. The large syringe look out of place in her hand as she clutched it tightly. "Tell lord death that Natalie has another patient for him." The boss said. "Yes Miss Natalie" the small girl bowed and ran out of the room. "We'll what are you gawking at? Get back to work." Natalie yelled making everyone of the guards pour out of the room.

Natalie sighed brushing the girls hair off her face. "I'm sorry. I promised myself I wouldn't do this." she sat on the edge of the bed. "But I had to...for your own good." She gently kissed her forehead. "I love you Beni " she walked to the door, turned and spoke softly. "All I wish is that you could have had a chance at life before this." She walked out in long strides as if to escape her own daughter.
