"Is that the new guy everyone's talking about?" Andrew asked as he took a bite of his pizza.

It had been a few minutes since the new guy came in, he ordered just a bottle of coke and took a seat at the other side of the restaurant.
Emiliana didn't know why but since he came in her heart hadn't stopped beating erratically, maybe it had something to do with the way he looked at her, she thought, and it irked her because she didn't even know his name and yet he had her heart all fuzzy.

"Yep, that's the hot one", Nina replied as she batted her eyelids at his direction but he paid no attention to her as he sipped on his coke.

"He looks like the football type of guy. You think he could join the team" Scott asked no one in particular.

"He definitely will be a lot of distraction to the cheer practice", Andrew said as he looked towards the cheerleaders table and unsurprisingly they all had their eyes on him, giggling and muttering to themselves.

Emiliana knew he was already too much of a distraction to her and she didn't like feeling that way about someone she didn't know.
"Jeff, I need to use the restroom, I will be right he back" she got up and made her way to the restroom, knowing she couldn't stand being in the same room as the new guy, she needed to clear her head probably slap some water on her face.

Briskly walking into the girls' restroom, she made her way to the sink and turning the faucet she slapped some cold water on her face to calm her reddened face. All she could think of was those bright amber eyes, same one the men and women had in her dreams. Was it all connected? But it couldn't be possible, a lot of people had amber eyes. But his sparkled just like in her dreams. Shaking her head to clear her thoughts, she took out a paper towel at the side and dried her face and ran a hand through her hair. Feeling satisfied with her appearance she made her way out of the restroom.

"Emiliana Alexandra Cornelius". She whipped her head back, and leaning at the side of the door to the restroom was the new guy and smirking at her.

She was so shocked as she starred at him, her heart going into overdrive. How did he know her full name and why was he looking at her as though they had met before. He looked more beautiful up close.

Taking deep breaths. "How... do you know my name?" She whispered softly. There was no way he would know that except he asked someone.

"Who doesn't know you?" Pushing himself off the wall and walking closer to her. "Everyone knows you, Emiliana Alexandra Cornelius, grand daughter, first of his name, Grand Lord Cornelius, Lord of House Cornelius". Taking a loose strand of her hair and pulling it behind her ear. "They just don't know you're alive". He leaned down towards her, his breath washing across her face as she closed her briefly deeply affected by his presence.

Taking deep breaths, she opened her eyes to peer up at his bright amber eyes that was now a shade of red. Getting back to her senses, she took a step back and frowned at him.

"Grandfather?" She looked at him like he was crazy. "My grandfather isn't alive. And what do you mean by still alive. Am I suppose to be dead?" She was clearly annoyed at the guy in front of her spilling nonsense to her. "And who are you?" She folded her hands across her chest looking pointedly at him.

He looked back at her shocked, trying to decipher if she was joking or not, if she didn't really know who she really was. Realization quickly dawned on him as he straightened himself and looked around eyes wary. Emiliana senses his change of mood and stiffened.

"Never mind. I had you confused with someone else" he took a step back and made his way around her leaving her totally confused and suspicious.

"Hey" she turned to call him back.
He stopped and turning slightly towards her, he smiled but it didn't reach his eyes.
"The name's Jake Colton". Then he walked away.
