Old Friends

The Grand Beggining

Setting: Graduation of the Memphis Street Academy students. Names being read aloud to a live studio audience as people cheer on new graduates. 

Reader: Clintin Turner, Beverly Marsh, Nicolas Cage, Michel Wisouski, Skylar Draper, Lea Michelle, 

As the person keeps reading out names, everyone happily grabs their diploma while a young person does so sadly...

E: *thinking of the future without their friends*

A: *grabs E's shoulder* Hey, you good?

Joey: *talking to Kevin about video games*

Kevin: *talking to Joey as well as drawing a new map for a COD main frame*

E: *nods and smiles hoping that A didn't see E's pain in their eyes*

A: *knows E is lying* Ok, just try to look happy at least though

E looks over to Janiya, their crush every since the very beggining, and realizes that they may never see Janiya again

E realizes that their names are far from being called

E: *taps Janiya's shoulder* h-hey Jay, could y-you walk me to the bathroom real quick?

Janiya: *clearly is unconfortable* o-ok? *follows E down the hallway* 

A sees E and Janiya leave, but is unaware what is going on, so she follows them as well

E stops in a dead silent hallway with no one around and rubs the back of her neck

E: um J-Jay? we kinda n-need to t-talk.... *their face starts to turn red*

Janiya: *raises an eyebrow* Ok, what about?

A peers over a corner and watches from a distance

E: I k-kinda... um.... like you.... l-like like-like you.... *pulls up their hoodie to hide their face*

Janiya: I kinda like you as well....

As A fangirls quietly, E and Janiya know that there's no point in getting together now because of grauadtion.

E: *blushing hard as hell* well... I guess this is it...

Janiya: *also blushing hard as hell* y-yeah...

E and Janiya quietly walk back to the auditorium.

E tries to make an attempt at holding Janiya's hand, and succeeded 

Janiya quietly grabs E's hand as well and now is as red as ever.

A sneaks back to the auditorium as well.

TIME SKIP! Everyone's name was called and now everyone is leaving!

That same night, E was thinking a lot about their friends. 

E's mind: What if they forget all the time we had? What if we never see each other again? I'm gonna see Kevin in high school, but what if he changes? What if everyone changes?

A tear starts to roll down E's cheek, though E was never a person to cry, they couldn't help it. E's friends were everything to them.

E's phone starts to show notifacations. They were text messages from the group chat that all their friends were in.

Note! This is texting!!!!!

A: HEY GUYS!

Joey: hello, also all caps tho? smh

Kevin: COD!

Joey: Kevin, no

E: hey guys. can't believe that we're high schoolers now....

A: HELL YAS! LET'S GO WRECK SHIT!!! X3

Janiya: A, no, that's not nice

Kevin: *spamming russian memes* hehehe >:)

Joey: Frick u kevin!

Janiya: can I draw someone's ocs?

E: KEVIN FUCKING STOP also ya u can draw mine J

E smiles and is realived to know that  their friends for life, whether they like it or not.

TIME SKIP!!!! HIGH SCHOOL STARTS!!!!
