Breathe

Eyes closed, shallow breaths, playing dead. That's how she acted to survive. The enemy who must've taken out her friend, Leslie, after their hummer was ambushed and he put a bullet in Leslie's head was now walking around Skyler's body to see if she were dead. Flashback to Billy and A.J. doing the same after throwing her down the basement steps. She had to pretend she was knocked out, even though she wanted to fight back, she couldn't. And just like the enemy, the guys left as well. The pain was too much and both times she passed out afterwards. There's a sharp pain in her wrist, Skyler jolts awake and sits up in bed. Looking around, she realized she is not in the war zone or in her dad's bar basement. She's in the Son's clubhouse, in Tig's dorm room since he let her use it. Climbing out of bed, she heads down the hall and into the kitchen to get some water. Tig and Happy are awake, playing pool and flirting with crow eaters while Kozik is sitting at the bar, watching tv. "Hey baby, are you ok ?" Tig asks her, walking away from an annoyed crow eater. Skyler sips her water, and nods, "Yea, just some wrist pain." He wraps his arm around her shoulder and kisses her temple. That catches Kozik's attention, who glares at Tig.

Skyler can see the look on Kozik's face, and wraps her arm around Tig's waist, kissing his cheek. He smirks at her as the crow eater comes and slips herself under his other arm. "I'm going to head back to bed." Skyler gulps down the rest of her water and heads back to the dorm room. She realized a few days ago, when he pull Jax away from her, that she liked Kozik. But for some reason, he doesn't seem to pay attention to her unless she is flirting with Tig. So if that's how he wants to play, game on. She hasn't had many relationships, especially since she served in a war and was tied up with college, but doesn't mean she wouldn't give him a shot. Only thing is, he's playing hard to get. Unless she is reading him wrong and he's definitely not interested. Laying back down, she tries to fall back to sleep but her brain won't let her. Maybe some fresh air and journaling will help. Grabbing her hoodie and slipping on her shoes, she heads up to the roof with her tablet. After a half hour passes, she can see Kozik walk towards his bike, with a crow eater following him. Same one that was hanging onto Tig early. "Hey baby, want some company?" Skyler looks up to see Tig walking towards her, lighting a cigarette before he sits down. "Sure. I just needed some air. Why is your girl following Kozik out to his bike?" She points towards the parking lot direction.

Shaking his head, he takes a drag before answering "That gash is not my girl. She wants to be, and I guess she thinks if she flirts with Kozik that I'll fall at her feet. Nah, she's only good for one thing." Skyler looks at him, "Is that what you guys call me as well ? A gash?" He shakes his head again, "Nah baby, we respect you." He looks down at her tablet in her hand, "What are you doing with that ?" She flashes the screen at him, "Journaling. Helps when I can't sleep." She hears Kozik laugh at whatever the crow eater said, she glances over at him. "You like him don't you ?" Tig asks, taking another drag. Skyler sighs, " Yea, but I am not someone like her. She walks around half naked and hanging onto you guys as I stay in the background. Like I'm in the bleachers watching a game or something and she's the cheerleaders by the front line." She continues to watch Kozik flirt. "She wears high heels, I wear sneakers," Tig sings, she looks at him,eyebrows raised, "She's cheer captain, and I'm in the bleachers." Skyler cracks up, "Wow, just wow." "I love that song." Tig grins. They laugh harder. "Look, Kozik is an ass, but he's got a good heart. He needs a woman like you, he just doesn't know it yet. Make him see that." Tig kisses her cheek, before getting up to head back inside.

"What were you doing last night ? If you are trying to get into her pants man, it's not right." Kozik stands toe to toe with Tig. Tig smirks, liking a challenge especially from Kozik, "What if I do want to get into her pants ? It's not like anyone else is." Kozik stands closer, glaring at Tig as Tig continues to smirk. Bobby slides between the 2 of them, "Alright, break it up. You can have dick measuring contests later. And who knows, maybe Skyler likes them on the fluffy side, like me." Tig chuckles as Kozik walks towards the garage, getting ready to start his work day. Skyler is in the office, helping Gemma with paper work as Kozik slams the door in the garage. Gemma and Skyler peek through the window as Kozik puts on his work shirt and grabs his tools. "Chibs should be here soon, he was discharged a half hour ago or so." Gemma says. "I'm happy. I miss my friend." Skyler responds, before walking into the garage to swap out the schedule hanging on the wall. Gemma watches as Kozik stares at Skyler, yet he doesn't say anything. He's such an idiot, she thinks to herself. Coming back into the office, Skyler grabs her coffee cup and sits down behind the desk. "Tonight is Tig's birthday party. I need to run to the store to pick up food, will you be ok until I get back ?" Skyler chuckles, "Yes, you ask me this every time you leave." Shortly after Gemma leaves, Chibs walks into the office. "Goo' mornin',Lassie." Skyler jumps up from her chair and gives Chibs a hug. "Damn, I miss my friend." She looks up and through the window, to see Kozik glaring at her. She leans back and kisses Chib's cheek while she stared back at Kozik. This is too much fun.
