"Children! Children please come to the living room!" A lady's voice yelled. The voice echoed up old, wooden steps. Down a long hallway filled with doors going into rooms. The wooden groaned and creaked as tiny footsteps ran to the oak doors. Each door opened, children running out, laughing and giggling in the dimmed hallway as they ran for the steps. The steps yelling and creaking as the children made their way down the steps, pass an opening to the right and to the left. The pairs of children stopped in the large opening of a living room.
The floor had a nice large rug. It was clearly old, tearing and breaking from where children sat and played, or listened to the radio. Next to an old fireplace, a lady stood with her long black dress. Her hair was nicely done in a bun. She smiled, having her right hand on a tall boy's right shoulder. Her left hand led down to the top of another boy's head. His hair was a dark brown, while the taller one had jet black hair. Both boys were tan, with different colored eyes. The tall one had orange-reddish eyes. The shorter one had light blue eyes. The eyes were cold, yet scared. "Children, these boys are the (insert last name later)," Ms. Hannagan spoke, "they are new to the orphanage."
