The Water

It was beginning to get dark but Riley and Jordan were both wide awake. They had both been in the car for about an hour. Jordan was driving, since it was Jordan's car. They both decided to stop at a gas station to use the bathroom and get some drinks and snacks. As Riley shut the car door, Jordan reached into the backseat and grabbed an extra bag that she brought. "What's that bag for?" Riley asked confused as Jordan stood up and threw it to her from across the car.

Riley looked at the string pull bag and felt some sort of fabric inside. She looked back up and Jordan, still confused. Jordan sarcastically rolled her eyes, "Just take it with you when you go to the bathroom." Riley nodded slowly before they both headed inside.

Jordan looked around the small isles for some sort of junk food that she could buy. Riley went to to the bathroom taking the bag with her. Before she had time to open the bag, she took a look at the mirror. The omega was almost discussed at the image she saw looking back at her. As she teared up she opened the bag and found a red t-shirt, a navy blue hoodie, a pair of black sweatpants, sandles, and a small note. The note read,

Put this on, and take your hair out. I can tell your head hurts just by looking at you. Don't try to change yourself, I don't care why. I like the old you better.

Riley read the note, and tried to hide her smile. 'Maybe she liked the old me better, was wasn't attracted to the old me' she thought. But soon the thoughts dissapeared and she took off her clothes, putting the other ones on. She decided to keep the makeup on, but she smiled at herself as she ripped the hair tie out, stepping out of the bathroom. The first thing she noticed was Jordan standing in a stuck position with completely frozen pants with bits of cherry stuck in the ice. Imidentally Riley died laughing, "How the hell does that even happen?!" Jordan wasn't very amused.

Infact she looked really irritated, "I was getting a cherry slushie, I took it outside to get something from the car, spilt it on my pants, and then it froze from the air...!" She grunted out.

Riley continued to laugh until Jordan too started to laugh as well, "Just go get what you want, I'll pay." She mumbled with a chuckle, "asshole..." Jordan went into the bathroom and started using the hand dryer to melt the ice on her pants.

Once she had gotten the majority off, she exited the bathroom to see Riley with a 12-pack of bottled wine. Jordan gave her a sarcastic look that practically just said, 'Really???' Riley rolled her eyes, "Hey I'm not the one driving!" Jordan rolled her eyes as well, "Whatever-" in the end, Riley bought her wine and Jordan bought some ginger ale and potatoe chips.

Once they were both back on the road, Riley popped one of the bottles open, "I normally only drink to forget when I'm depressed, but I'm starting to feel something suddenly." The truth was that at that moment, she was drinking to forget, the only difference was that she was in front of another person now.

Later on in the car ride it was about midnight, the roof on Jordan's convertible was down, and Riley had the radio on as her and Jordan screamed the lyrics into the night sky. Riley wasn't completely intoxicated, but she did have a bit of a buzz. As the car ride went on, the girls had fun, even though Jordan was sober as Riley devoured her drinks. In the middle of a conversation, Riley randomly passed out in the car. The alpha softly chuckled looking over at the rose pink headed girl, "Let's get to a hotel, I'm pretty tired too... Riley." They drive to a hotel room and Jordan gets out of the car to get their room, Riley still sleeping in the front seat.

Once they got their room, Jordan went back to the car shaking Riley awake. "Hey I got us a room, but you gotta carry your own stuff in." The omega nodded, getting out of the car, slightly tipsy as she reached into the backseat to grab her stuff.
