Chapter 16: The Chase

Kalirea's POV

"Keychain. It triggers the chain of events, that will lead you to the key." Eleven read the note inside the keychain after I solved it.

I woke up just after Crystal left. I begged her parents not to sue Eleven as soon as I heard the news and everything went back to normal. Or is it?

Alystra doesn't want to see us in while, narinig ko kasi nagaway sila nung naospital ako. Neivan and her took a break from their relationship. Cool off ganun, uso pa ba yun? Bat di nalang sila magbreak? And Marco...

Marco seems off.

"So what does that mean?" tanong ni Melo

"Nakikinig ka ba?" sabi sa kanya ni Esran

"Yeah...I just don't get it." sabi ni Melo

"This isn't a poem, a quote or some kind of code to solve. The keychain might literally make things happen" sabi ko

"But nothing is happening. We're literally back to the start. This is a dead end again" sabi ni Esran

Binuksan na lamang ni Eleven ang TV at saktong may news.

"Breaking news, tatlong di pa nakikilang lalaki, patay nang makita sa tabi ng ilog. Sunog ang kanilang buong katawan sa hindi pa nalalamang dahilan. Hanggang ngayon ay iniimbestigahan pa an----"

Eleven turned off the TV and all of us looked at him.

"Turn it on!" sabi ni Esran

"Please, wag na natin dagdagan ang stress natin." sabi ni Eleven

"Eleven turn it on." utos sa kanya ni Melo

"Like I said--" Esran took the remote control out of his hands and opened the TV.

When the TV was opened, commercial na.

"Eleven kasi eh! Bakit mo pinatay!" sabi ni Esran

"Look, Its other people's problem at madadagdagan lang ang problema natin" sabi ni Eleven

Napatingin ako kay Marco na kanina pa tahimik.

"Marco, okay ka lang?" tanong ko sa kanya

"Oo naman, bakit?" tanong niya

"Mukha ka kasing matamlay eh" sabi ko sa kanya

"Hindi, okay lang ako." He insisted

When I woke up, he was the first person that I saw. He panicked and called the doctor. I still remember how happy he is after I woke up. That was 2 weeks ago. Ngayon palagi siyang nakasimangot, tahimik at mukhang problemado. Di ko alam kung anong meron sa kanya. Pag tinanong mo, di naman sasagot ng maayos.

I woke up just after Crystal left. Crystal and Larkin fought when she came back to Korea because she didn't tell Larkin about it. Hanggang ngayon di pa rin sila nagkakaayos. Taas ng pride nilang dalawa eh.

When I heard about Alystra's article about my "death". I was furious, mas lalo pa akong nagalit nang malaman na pinayagan ni dad na gawin niya yun. You thought I would die? Ako?!

I won't die. Di ako mamamatay hanggat di ko pa nahahanap si Xyrene. I promised to find her, so I should.

Dahil sa mga nangyare, di ko na alam ang gagawin namin. At this point, could we still find Xyrene?
I'm not sure anymore.

Paano pala kung si Xyrene, patay na? Paano kung naghahanap kami para sa wala?

Eleven, Esran, Marco and Melo were talking about what we should do next but I didn't get to join into their conversation since Crystal called in video chat.
