Chapter 2: Mystery Man

The next morning Tara wakes up and sees Maya wide awake looking at her Tara: you're okay baby? Why are you looking at me ? Maya: *bewasee you prwetty mowwy Tara: aww thank you baby ready to go freshen up and make some breakfast? Maya: Ywesss *jumps off the bed and runs to the bathroom*. *Tara and Maya shower and get ready to cook breakfast together Tara starts playing music on her phone and they laugh and sing to the music in the background* Tara: you done eating baby? Maya: Ywes momma Tara: okay *grabs their plates and takes them to kitchen and washes them while she's washes dishes she hears a loud bang noise coming from backyard* *Tara stops washing dishes and starts walking towards the back to check out the noise, once she got outside and turn the corner she notices it's the same guy that she caught a glimpse of at the clothing store the other day.* Tara: *yells* hey! Random guy: umm.. hi Tara: I remember you, I seen you at the clothing store the other day. Random guy: oh you did, you sure it was me? *smirks* Tara: yes I'm sure it was you because you wore a blue jacket that day Random guy: so you did see me I'm glad you did Tara: wh- *everything goes black and dark**hears chains and the smell weed is in the air, Tara starts to open her eyes slowly but her vision is kinda blurry she finally opens her eyes and sees the Random guy staring at her from the chair in from of her*Tara: wh- what happened? *groans in pain because it felt like someone banged her head into a pole* Randon guy: you are in my warehouse sweetie Tara: ware-warehouse? What do you mean warehouse? Random guy: my trap house basically Tara: whats going on, why am I going here? Where's Maya? Random guy: Maya? Who's Maya? Awww Tara did you really think you could get away baby? Tara: get away? I don't even know what your talking about I don't even know you ! Random guy: you sure about that baby? *the random guy starts to walk closer to her and as soon as his face hits the light all the memories start to come back.
*flashback
Tara's POV: I'm running down the street, I don't have any shoes on, I don't have my cellphone, I don't have anything on me. I'm running and running but my feet are starting to give out, I'm sweating and so tired. *hears a car hitting the corner Tara takes off running again, she hears a voice from in the car *you can't run forever baby*
Flashback over*
Tara: *her eyes get big and wide and she starts to feel scared and terrified* wh- what do you want? Random guy: your punk ass *grabs her by her shirt* DIDNT I TELL YOU THAT I WAS GOING TO FIND YOU!? Tara: please don't hurt me, please don't hurt me I'm begging you. Random guy: oh I'm doing more than just that baby *grabs a gun and points it at her head* Tara: please no! no! no! *start crying* Random guy: awww I love when you beg *laughs* Tara: please just tell me what you want I'll give it to you! Random guy: I want you to give me Maya! Tara: no! Not my daughter please anything but her! Random guy: uh uh I want Maya, she's mine baby! Tara: you are not getting my daughter I'll kill you myself if you touch her! Random guy: oh really? *raises eyebrows, grabs something from the closet* Random guy: you mean this? *Tara sees the random guy grab Maya by her shirt and push her on the floor and start grabbing her by her hair and slapping her asking her to shut tf up because she's crying to much* Tara: *screams and cries out to the Random guy* Stop! Stop! What the fuck are you doing to her!? LEAVE MY DAUGHTER ALONE ! STOP HURTING HER! BABY MAYA! RUN TO MOMMY, COME TO ME! *Maya attempts to bite the Random guy's arm, he yells in agony and ends up letting her go but when he let go Maya's head ends up hitting the concrete and she starts bleeding from her head*
Tara POV
*I'm chained up by my legs and I can't fucking do anything, I just watched this fucking man abuse and hurt my baby. I feel so fucking helpless ! I WANT MY BABY GIRL, SHE'S BLEEDING OUT! I see my baby's body laid out, it looks as if she's not breathing, I need to get to her. I try to call her name so this mother fucker doesn't hear or see me* Tara: Maya? Maya! Baby girl! Can- can you hear mommy? She's right here! *starts to feel tears coming down her face* baby girl! Maya: *lays on the floor with no response* Tara: *breaks down as she can imagine her child on the floor not breathing* Tara: WHAT THR FUCK DID YOU DO TO MY BABY ! NOOOOO! NOOOOOOO! SHE'S ALIVE I KNOW SHE IS! Random guy: *laughs* it's funny how things changed huh baby? I remember someone running away from me and she just assumed I wasn't going to find her! IVE ALWAYS HAD MY EYE ON YOU SINCE THE FIRST DAY I MET YOU AT SCHOOL. *walks up to Tara and gets closer to her and grabs her face but she flints but wipes her tears* Random guy: I don't like when you cry Tara: PLEASE UNCHAIN ME SO I CAN GET TO MY CHILD! Random guy: I don't think so baby, so you can escape again! Not on my watch! Tara: *begs and pleads with the guy* please she needs her mother! *Random guy starts laughing and walks out the room**Tara sees Maya and crawls to her with all her strength she finally reaches Maya she pulls and grabs Maya close to her and starts screaming and yelling once she sees Maya bleeding everywhere* Tara: baby girl! Hey baby! Mommy is here, don't go don't leave mommy! *She lays Maya down and uses her shirt to stop her head from bleeding* Tara: baby please *checks her pulse and her chest, she hears faint breathing and wheezing* Tara: hey baby, mommy is here! Can you hear my voice! I'm going to get you out of here I promise I am.*Tara starts looking around the room and sees a window but there's boxes covering the exit, she takes her jacket off and lays Maya down* Tara: mommy will be right back *kisses her cheek and starts searching the room to find something sharp to unchain herself, she sees a pocket knife on the floor near the boxes by the window she starts to craw on the floor towards the knife finally grabs the knife and start using it to unlock the chains after a few jiggles the lock clicks and they fall off her feet. She walks towards the window and throws all the boxes on the floor and starts trying to open the window, she finally gets the window open after a few pushes and she sees there's space to get her and Maya out she smiles in excitement* *Tara runs back to Maya and open the window and slides her through once she sees that Maya is out of the way she slides her thick frame through the window but her foot gets caught by a string of her jeans she manages to rip her jeans in the process of getting away, her and Maya made it out and Tara just starts running in the middle of the streets cars honking at her and everything went black*
