Dinala ko si Wren sa mga palm trees at garden. Medyo malayo ito sa campfire namin pero kailangan ko kasi kausapin siya. Kinakabahan ako sa sasabihin ko. I felt terrible about what I did. Nagsisisi ako sa nagawa ko sa maling pagtatrato ko sa kanya. She doesn't deserve it.

"Wren, I want to talk about Miles." Tumikhim ako.

"I'm in love with Miles." She blurted out and immediately covered her mouth. "I-I'm sorry. Matagal ko na gusto sabihin sa'yo but I know how you feel about him."

I was taken aback by surprise pero agad din akong nakabawi. Niyakap ko siya nang mahigpit na ikinabigla niya. Eventually, I felt her arms hug me back.

"It's okay." Kumalas ako sa yakap. Iniharap ko siya at ngumiti ako. "I fell in love with someone too."

Wren squirm in excitement. "Sino?! Sabihin mo! Share mo naman!"

Lumapit ako sa kanya at binulong ito sa tainga niya. Kinikilig siya na parang bulate nang humarap ulit ako sa kanya.

"Bagay kayo! Bigyan mo siya ng lap dance, ah?" Kinindatan niya ako. Natawa na lang ako at sinuway siya. Ang wild naman nito.

"Wren, I'm sorry I had been selfish. I should've let go of Miles a long time ago." Naramdaman kong nag-init ang mata ko. Naiiyak na ako. Best friend ko si Wren sabay ganon ang ginawa ko sa kanya. I really love this gal so don't kill me!

"I'm sorry too. Dapat sinabi ko na sa'yo ang totoong nararamdaman ko sa kanya pero natatakot akong masaktan ka." Ngumuso siya.

Niyakap ko siya muli nang mahigpit. "You will always be my best friend."

"Me too." Narinig ko siyang humikbi. Tuluyan na akong naiyak at agad na pinahid ang luha na kumawala.

"Forever and ever." Panakot ko. Imbes na matakot siya, natuwa pa siya sa sinabi ko.

We came back to the campfire while hugging each other through our arm wrapped around on our shoulders. We smiled at each other before we sat down besides the man of our dreams.

We waited for Stephanie and Jax to come back para marinig nila ang kwento namin, when they got back, it was a surprise for all of us to see them covered in ash smears, they even smell like sweat and scorch.

Not to mention the fact: sila na.

They brushed off our worries like nothing dangerous had happened. It was all just dust, they said. Hinayaan na lang namin. We didn't pressed on.

But still...

My gahd! I would've expected Stephanie to make it harder for Jax to have her, lalo na kung sikat siya, pahirapan ang mga lalaki na makuha siya. Nag-iinarte pa siya sa mga manliligaw niya na sikat at gwapo. Hindi ko man lang nakita si Jax na nag-aabot ng bouquet sa binibini namin! Walang kaeffort-effort, ganon lang? Ang bilis naman!

"We've been waiting for a long time! Bakit ang sobrang tagal niyo?" Inip na tanong ni Theodore. It took us an hour and a half to wait for them.

"We were worried about you." Nakapout na sabi ni Daisy.

"I'm so sorry. It was something important for the both of us." They glanced at each other with their hypnotic gaze, like something beautiful had just happened and we missed it.
