Waiting (Ch. 22)

I didn't have much choice when it came to my education. I had to drop out and later on, sign up and maybe pay for online classes or a private teacher. I really didn't want to but due to timing of the move and of the tour, I didn't have much choice.
M~ MOM!!!
Mm~ yes? Im in the kitchen.
M~ I have some bad news.
Mm~ what is it honey?
M~ I'm going to have to drop out.
Mm~ WHAT???? I thought that's what you didn't want.
M~ I don't but I went to the office today and the counselor said I didn't have much choice.
Mm~ im sorry honey.
M~ yeah.... i have something else I need to tell you. It kind of makes things worse.
Mm~~ well what is it?
M~ the school counselor....
Mm~ what about the counselor??
M~ it's umm
Mm~ who?? Just tell me!!
M~ it's Bryan Williams.

M~ I walked into his office and was immediately terrified.

M~ I don't know but it's going to be okay.

Mm~ yes?
M~ when I'm away don't go anywhere near the school? Please?
Mm~ don't worry mija, I won't.
M~ okay :) Im going to go upstairs and start to pack.
Mm~ okay, I'll call you down for dinner when it's done.
M~ okay.
I walk away from the kitchen knowing I had left my mom traumatized. I just hope she's okay when I'm away.
I go to my room and pack a lot of clothes. It felt like it would never end.
D~ hey girl, you ready for Saturday?
M~ uh y-yeah
D~ what's wrong? You seem uneasy
M~ Daniel isn't the only person who's back from the past
D~ what are you talking about.
M~ Bryan Williams.
D~ what do you mean he's back?
M~ he's the schools counselor
D~ WHAT???
M~ yeahhh, I had to figure it out by going to his office
D~ YOU SAW AND SPOKE TO HIM??
M~ I didn't have much choice.
D~ did you tell your mom??
M~ yeah I did.
D~how did she react??
M~ she was traumatized
D~ I bet.
M~ I'm so terrified, I'm debating on telli-
D~ no
M~ why?
D~ there is no way in hell you can tell him.
M~ but why not?? He would take care of him in a heartbeat.

M~ without a hesitation he'd be out of our lives completely
D~ you said you would only go to him when your life was being threatened and getting back in contact with him would put all of us in danger.
M~ I wouldn't do it through my fucking phone you dummy.
D~ then how?
M~ easy, through either the school phone or maybe..
D~ please don-
M~ ahh a payphone.
D~ deadass you are mentally unstable
M~ I'm not!
D~ yeah you are.
M~ no I'm not
D~ you would be willing to give him the city your in for the death of someone?
M~ do I need to explain everything to you??

M~ I'd drive a few city's away or do it while we're on tour.

M~ you are so dumb.

Let's just say Bryan did my family and I a lot of harm back in Roy. And if contacting a certain someone is what I need to do for him to leave my mother in peace then so be it. But I need to do it without my mother knowing. If she found out I was still in contact with a certain someone, even she would be capable of killing me.
