Milo had always wondered about the dangers of the outside world. To think of what was beyond there was exciting, yet at the same time, fearful. Calamei was always a hidden place, quiet and it kept to itself.
Until the outside world collapsed.
It appeared to be a normal day for Milo, and the disaster was masked by the crisp air and sunny fields. Playfully, Milo rolled around in the meadow, laughing as Nataly made her way over.
"Milo!" She approached angrily "What do you think you're doing? Education starts in.." She checked her watch carefully before glancing at Milo with a worried expression on her face. "5 minutes! The institution's like, half an hour away from here!" She yanked his arm violently, pulling him up off of the grass. Milo groaned and gathered his things, before following Nataly into the woods, the only place that would later be safe.
