I am Sigyn, Goddess of Poetry and healing, one of the Asgardian Gods. I was created with the intention to be Loki's healer when the day of his punishment comes.

I'd never met him.

I knelt in front of Odin, who looked down at me regally.

"Father, I beg for some detail. Please, why is Loki not here?"

Odin's one eye glinted angrily. I saw his knuckles tighten their grip on his staff.

"Sigyn, daughter of Freya and Iwaldi, you are meddling in dangerous waters." Odin said. "Loki is in Jotunheim. He has discovered the truth; I should have known he would. Thor tells me he has stolen the tesseract which could bring Thanos to Midgard. Does that answer your question, Sigyn?"

Head still bowed, blonde curls dripping over my face, I murmured "But why should Loki do such a thing? And why should we not return him to Asgard, that he may help in the war? Father, I am the consort of a man whom I have never met. I must know."

Odin looked at me, evidently thinking hard. Then he motioned for me to rise.
"Daughter, your plea is heard. Fetch Thor. I need his counsel."

I curtseyed and walked from the throne room, my heart lighter. Down the long, beautiful halls of Asgard, where I hailed a gaurd and sent him to find Thor. Then I waited in my chambers to be called back to Odin's presence.

Thor was standing before his father, Mjolnir in hand. His fair curls fell about his face.

"Ah, Sigyn. I have consulted Thor. We will, under your blessing, send you to Jotunheim to find news of Loki. He will not harm you, as you are his wife, and healer in times to come. Thor will escort you. What say you, Freja's daughter?"

My heart was beating fast under the grave looks Thor and Odin were giving me. Jotunheim was said to be a dangerous and evil place.

"I am not certain, father. Will I be told the extent of Loki's mishaps?"

"Yes." Thor stepped forward. "I will tell her, Odin. She must know at some point. Come, Sigyn."
Once again cursteying to Odin, I gathered up my skirts and followed the God of Thunder from the throne room.

Noon was spent with Thor. He explained to me who the Avengers were, explained how Loki was found, and what Loki had done in more recent times. I was surprised at the many times he'd stabbed Thor, which Thor seemed to view as a simple part of life. Being immortal, our wounds closed quickly.

"Gather your garments, Sigyn." Thor said finally, standing up and putting on his red cape. "We leave tomorrow."
