It's been some time now since (y/n) has defeated Melony, the ice gym leader. Both have been staying in contact after instantly befriending each other. And now Melony has invited the young gym challenger to join her for dinner in this fancy restaurant. The occasion, her eldest son has arrived from his holiday in Sinnoh and she wants to introduce her to him.

The girl hastly brushes over her dress once more to smooth out any kinds of folds that may have appeared. She has decided to wear something more elegant instead of her normal battle attire. She wants to make a good first impression after all. Melony only talks highly of this Gordie person and told her about his affinity for rock type pokemon. Therefore she decided to wear a greyish beige coloured dress with a black belt tied around her waist. She also put a nice black ribbon into her hair. Go big or go home.

She walks in and soon spots her friend already sitting at a table. Melony spotts her and waves her over. As the young girl walks closer, she can see another person also sitting at the table. And this man certainly took the phrase 'Go big or go home' literally. He's got a wide build and if he were to stand up, he'd most certainly be taller than Melony and therefore taller than (y/n). His messy yellowish white hair slicked back in a flamboyant way, expect one lock that is just tangeling in his face. He wears some really weird blue shades, which make his blue eyes truly pop. He also wears a black and beige jacket. Talk about matching colour! (y/n) smiles his way and sits down the opposite of the two. "Good evening you two." She says as she puts her bag on the chair next to her. "I'm glad you could make it dear. Now then Gordie this is (y/n), (y/n) this is Gordie." They both shake hands. "It's nice to meet you. I've heard lots about you from Mel." He grins "Likewise, mum has told me many stories about you over the phone." (y/n) looks at her friend who smiles at the two. "I'm actually quite shocked to see you both so well coordinated with your choice of clothes." She giggles to herself, thinking of something yet far off in the future. "That's right! How were we able to wear the same colour combination?" Gordie chuckles and uses this opportunity to take a better look at your dress. And with dress meant is (y/n)s figure. Her belt perfectly showes off her curves while also emphasizing her chest. He blushes lightly and concentrates back on the conversation.

A waiter comes by and brings their ordered food. (y/n) chose a (f/f), Melony took a Ceaser salad with bread and Gordie ordered a well done steak. "To be honest, I actually thought you to be more of a rare or medium eater. Looks can be deceiving." (y/n) says as she starts eating. "Oh really? Why's that?" He looks at her amused while putting a steak piece in his mouth. "Uhm well not to sound rude, but your attire just screamed rich snob to me. But talking to you has been a pleasent suprise, so I really hope it has been the same to you." She smiles at him again and he just feels his cheeks blush some more. How can this random trainer be so cute!? "Ah, well of course it has been. But I wonder just how strong you are. We should battle sometime!" He smoothly changes the topic, not to get even more flustered. People have always told him he's, what term did they use? Gap moe? Well they always said that describes him best, yet hearing these words from her made his body become tense for some reason. Melony only watches in delight, seeing her son react in the way she predicted.

They finish eating and as (y/n) tries to pull her purse out, Gordie insists to pay. He quickly gives the waiter his money and (y/n) pouts while putting the purse back in her bag.

They walk out of the restaurant and Melony immediatly asks (y/n) if she has something planned for the rest of the evening. "Oh no, I'll just chill at home and then go to sleep. Why? Do you have something planned?" She grins, "I actually do, so I will need to leave shortly. Unfortunatly have I bought some tickets for the cinema, but I can't use them as they are only valid for today... Hey Gordie, how about you and (y/n) go to the movies alone?" She looks at them with a pure look. "H-Huh?" Gordie is the first to react. "It wouls just be a waste not to use them! And you both have nothing to do after this, so use your time while you're still young!" She slaps him slightly on the shoulder. "Oh Mel talking about us being young while you too are still so young and beautiful!" (y/n) gushes over her friend and then looks at the male. "It's not that bad. I actually am really hyped to watch this now. It's been some time since I've last been in a cinema!"(y/n) sways from one side to the other in excitement. Gordie sighs out in defeat and agress. Melony hands him two tickets and walks off to who knows where. Gordie notices that Melony only had two tickets from the start. She planned all of this till the end.

They sit down in the seats. (y/n) with a big popcorn in hand and Gordie with some nachos with salsa dip. As the movie title appears on screen, moves the girl her head towards the males ear. "I've read online reviews and they all talk about how good this is, I'm really hyped" Gordie blushes some more and thanks the dim lighting to conceal his face from her.

They walk out of the movie theatre. "Ah! This was so goood!" (y/n) smiles in content. "Yeah and when that magickarp used splash? Absolutly phenomenal. The writters back in Unova must be geniuses." He nods, sparkles practically radiating from him. "Agreed," She pulls a small piece of paper out of her bag and gives it to Gordie, "But it's getting really late and I should go now. Give me a holler if you wanna do something again sometimes!" She winks at him and walks to the next cab. Gordie looks at the note, seeing a telephone number scribbled on it. "S-sure! Have a good night!" he shouts after her. She waves one last time before getting in the taxi. On the way back home he never stopped smiling. This could be the fated meeting he's always dreamt of.
