Chapter 1

The school was alive! Children running around the campus. Already sweating before the classes began. Taehyung reached the school half an hour before the class are scheduled to begin. The teachers are required to reach the school before half an hour before the school starts so Taehyung pulled up to the school's campus with ease.

It has been a week since he started working at the school. "High Hopes Higher Secondary School".

He thought the school's name was cheesy but the school actually had a good reputation. With over 2000 students from kindergarten till the twelve grade, it is one of the most sought out school in the city.

At twenty seven years old, Taehyung can guarantee that school years are the best.

You go to school, you learn, you go home, do your homework and repeat. You do not have to worry about your rent, your status at the society, who you know and who knows you. At least that's how it was for him when he was in his high school.

His colleagues greeted him politely when he entered the staff room. His first class begins in about twenty minutes so he went through the profiles of his class. He don't know if its because he is the latest to join or something but his fellow teachers were adamant about him being the homeroom teacher of the twelfth grade.

But the kids aren't exactly hard to handle. But Taehyung hesitate to judge so quickly since he has been around for only a week.

"Mr. Kim!" Mr. Jung made his presence known by cheerfully smiling at him and standing by his desk.

"Good Morning Mr. Jung, how's the trip with the kids?" Taehyung asked Hoseok who went to a weekend trip with his class recently.

"Ahh! Can't believe you're the only one who cared enough to ask!" Hoseok said dramatically.

Taehyung just laughed at his joke.

"It was great actually! Life changing, really. Mr. Park actually accompanied me." Hoseok said and Taehyung held back a teasing remark at that.

The first thing Mr. Park said to Taehyung when he first joined was to stay away from Mr. Jung but not in a rude way. In the most subtle way. But Taehyung got the message.

"Oh! That must be so cool. I bet y'all had fun!"

"Yes we did. Didn't we Hoseokie hyung?" Mr. Park showed up out of nowhere, standing next to Hoseok with his arms around the older's waist.

Taehyung sighed at the antic of Mr. Park.
He always does this when Mr. Jung interacts with him. Taehyung just wants Mr. Park to know that there isn't anything to worry about.

"Yah! Park Jimin! You scared the shit out of me!" Hoseok whined.

"Sorry hyung! I was just too excited when I saw you wear MY gift!" Mr Park exclaimed, emphasizing on the 'my'.

Taehyung cringed at Jimin's antics. Once again.

"Aahh. Yes! Mr. Kim, don't you think this look nice? Jiminnie bought this for me!" Hoseok said with a proud smile. And Taehyung smiled at the couple. They were honestly so endearing but Taehyung prays that Jimin will stop being worried about him 'snatching' Mr. Jung away from him.

"That's very sweet. That's adorable."
He replied. Truthfully.

"Thank you Mr. Kim!" Hoseok replied smiling but then he suddenly look worried.

"Actually,  I came here for a reason. Just an advice." He said.

Taehyung was intrigued.

"Oh really? That's nice. I'm all ears!"

Hoseok gives him a hesitant smile and shared a look with Jimin.

"Its about one of the student in the twelfth grade. His name is Jeon Jeongguk. And he was suspended last month for being violent on the field. And he is a menace. And he is joining again from today. I felt like I have to warn you, you know? Because he's honestly such a little brat. He is going to give you a hard time." Hoseok explained with an exasperated sigh.

"Thank you so much for the warning Mr. Jung. I really appreciate it." Taehyung said.

"Don't worry! He would do it for anyone. Not because its you. Jeon Jeongguk is just evil." Mr. Park commented.

Taehyung sighed and tried his best to not roll his eyes.

"Yah! You can't call a student evil!"
Hoseok scolded.

Taehyung secretly laughed at how Jimin becomes so docile when it comes to Hoseok.

"Ahhh. Sorry Hoseokie hyung.."

He look forward to meeting this evil kid his two colleagues are talking about.
