Jaebeom stumbled upon the club La Rouge by accident. He had a stressful day at work, and needed a drink and it was on the way home, so he stopped by. He didn't know it was a burlesque club when he sat down for a whiskey on the rocks. The decor was dark, rich and earthy, comfortable to sit and have a drink and listen to music. The lights were dim, tinted red, and that should have been Jaebeom's clue at first that this was no ordinary bar or lounge. A beat dropped, and his attention was diverted to the stage, his eyes falling on a girl in a striking red dress with sparkles and tassels, very roaring twenties and flapper-esque. She popped her hip once, a spotlight shining down on her and then she began to sing.
Jaebeom was captivated. She had a rich tone, sweet on the ears. Her dance moves were sharp and on point, yet fluid and sensual. The look in her eye also made you not want to look away. She had this pure innocence to her face, but with a smirk here, and a bit of tongue poking out there, he thought twice about her innocent appearance. She was breathtaking to watch, and even as he downed his drink, he couldn't help but still feel parched. "Another please." he requested the bartender, a blonde with shoulder length hair that had a knowing smile on her lips as she polished a glass with a cloth.
"Is this your first time here?" she wonders, grabbing the bottle of Crown Royale and refilling his glass.
"How could you tell?"
"Lucky guess." She laughs, "Her name is Seulgi." he thanks the bartender for the drink, and pretends as if he doesn't care that this performer's name is Seulgi.
She saunters off the stage as her performance comes to a close, and Jaebeom does wonder if he should loiter a bit more, in case she does another song. Instead, he's caught by surprise as she walks over to the bar, leaning over it for the bartender's attention. "Cranberry juice please!" Seulgi orders, face breaking out in a smile that has Jaebeom's heart skipping a beat. Her cheeks are plump, her eyes little crescents and if it wasn't for the outfit, he would have sworn this was someone completely different than the girl he saw on stage. He averts his eyes, trying not to get lost in the soft curves of her body line, or how striking he finds her profile to be. The red lip suits the yellow undertones of her skin, and her monolids are accentuated with a light wash of color, thinly winged eyeliner and a little gem glued in the center of her bottom lashline. He wants to approach her, but he's shy. She also probably gets a lot of unwanted male attention anyway.
From the corner of his eye, he notices the bartender slip Seulgi her drink, leaning over the counter to whisper something in her ear. Jaebeom clears his throat when he notices Seulgi glance over in his direction, covering her mouth as she whispers something back to Wendy. Before he knows it, she saunters over, taking a seat next to him and extending a hand to him. "Hi, I'm seulgi." She greets.
"Jaebeom."
"Nice to meet you."
"Likewise."
"First time here?"
"Yeah..."
"Welcome to La Rouge." She smiles.
