Richie woke up with the light of the sun gleaming in his face but it wasn't as pleasant as you would imagine it was un welcoming. He reached for his glasses and put them on he got out of bed and threw on his vest. It wasn't any normal vest he'd had them for years Richie's parents never bought him anything so it was some of the only clothing he had.

Richie ran down stairs. He's parents never cared enough to buy food for him they, were never  even at home anyway. Richie took a some Richie looked in the fridge to see almost nothing what okay looking Apple from the fridge. He ran out the door and got on his bike and rode threw the tiny road to school with the smell of smoke and rotting fruit.
He was greeted by a friendly face. "Hey Ed's" Said Richie.  "Urgh don't call me that I hate it when you call me that". His sour flustered facial expressions always made Richie smile.

Stanley interrupted "hey guys we gotta get to class. Why don't we meet at the barrens later"?

The smaller one replied "uh my mom said I'm not aloud to hang out with you guys anymore...."

"WHAT?!" Richie exclaimed

"Don't listen to her she's just an old grump" he added

"d-don't talk about my mom like that"!
