It is almost dinnertime when Jennie enters the lift to her apartment. Before the metal doors slide to a close, she waves goodbye to Jisoo who smiles as cheerily as the afternoon sun that has reddened both their faces.

Jennie leans against the lift as it rises like her mood. She doesn't realise she is grinning from ear to ear until she sees her dopey reflection on the doors as they slide open to her apartment.

Opening the refrigerator, she reaches for a bottle of cold water near the bottom and her leg muscles instantly burn. She groans but her smile returns as her mind drifts back to the early afternoon in the park...

"Good, one step at a time," Jisoo coaxes as Jennie grips onto her hands for dear life, totally unwilling to let go for even a second.

"Okay," Jennie lets out a shaky breath, "I think I'm slowly getting more confident..."

"Good!" Jisoo smiles with an encouraging twinkle in her eyes, and starts to wriggle out of Jennie's deathly hold.

"No! Don't let go! I'm scared!" Jennie squeals, almost whining, and practically digs her nails into the other woman's forearms.

Tickled by the woman's terrified outburst, Jisoo laughs and shakes her head, "You have to learn to let go, Jennie."

"Okay okay I'll just... try," Jennie gulps down her fears and attempts to loosen her clutch on Jisoo's hands, but ends up quickly re-attaching to her coach.

"Let's gain a bit of momentum so you'll find your balance easier, okay?"

Jennie nods worriedly as Jisoo skates backwards a little faster, leading Jennie forward by the hands.

When Jennie thinks she has found her balance, she inhales deeply and peels her hands away from Jisoo, and for a good long while, she glides forth successfully. Jisoo beams with wide eyes and encourages her to move her skates, but as soon as Jennie lifts a leg off the ground, she falters.

Everything seems to happen in slow motion -- Jisoo bulging her eyes in shock, Jennie flailing her arms and losing balance backwards, Jisoo diving for the ground and out of sight.

Clearly something has broken her fall because Jennie doesn't feel the pain she is expecting.

"Oof!" is what she hears before realising she is lying entirely atop Jisoo, her back pressed against Jisoo's front.

"Oh gosh, are you okay?!" She exclaims in concern.

Jisoo coughs and laughs underneath her, while Jennie scrambles to get up but fails miserably on her wheels, so she embarrassingly crawls off her coach and sits on the pavement.

"Stop laughing!" Jennie smacks Jisoo in the arm. "Seriously, are you alright?"

Crunching her abs, Jisoo waves okay and gets up to a sitting position beside Jennie.

"Well, well, isn't that fun?" She beams at Jennie and laughs some more.

Seeing her coach is fine, Jennie chuckles along, "Maybe yes, if you didn't break your promise."

"My promise to not let you fall? C'mon, technically you didn't hit the ground, so..."

Jennie just rolls her eyes and nudges her elbow against Jisoo's. "Fine, I'll cut you some slack," she pants and starts to unbuckle her skates, "but that's enough skating for me."

"Awww you sure? We're just getting started."

Jennie shakes her head with a laugh as she continues with her struggle to untie her laces.
