"Mr. Bossimer, (bos-i-mir) please pay attention!" The voice booms across the class, invading my personal space.

"I'm doing my work, and personally, I think how many husbands you have had shouldn't be on the final. Now, I'm trying to finish problem number 73 from the worksheet you assigned us at the beginning of class" I say snappily. I look down again and listen to the small snickers of my classmates.

I hear one girl whisper, "oof, Miss. Elian got toasted,"

"I know right, too bad it was the weird kid," her friend whispers back. I blink then finish the work.

DING DING DING

I'm the first one packed up and out the door, in the distance I hear "THE BELL DOESN'T EXCUSE YOU Mr. BOSSIMER!" I continue to walk.

I rush to my next class before the crowd breaks loose. I turn the corner at my usually fast speed and run straight into the bitch Queen, she runs it all. Witney Brian she is almighty.

"Watch where you're going, freak," I pick myself up and look at her sneering face. Then I walk right by, ignoring her protests of making me suffer.

I walk through a door then sit in my seat. This is astrology, my mom insisted that I take it. It's mostly girls with Starbucks in this class. They only seem to care about what their star sign says this week, but this class has nothing to do with horoscopes at all.

I take out the homework from last time and listen to the snobby females talk. Then I hear the door softly close, I look up and see someone, I don't know his name and I know everyone's name. He's someone I've never seen for that matter.

"Okay class, this is the new student, Issac Smith. Please make him feel welcome." Our teacher, Mr. Bliss, says.

"Hi, it's nice to meet you," Issac says confidently.

"Your Seat is next to Mr. Bossimer, right in the front," Mr. Bliss says, then points in my direction. Issac strides in my direction and takes a seat to my right. Then, the teacher starts class.

I pay attention to what he says, but I zone out quickly.

"So why are you the only guy in this class?" I hear an unfamiliar voice ask.

I turn the direction of the voice and say, "Everyone else is Just concerned with horoscopes,"

"Then why are you here?" He asks quietly.

"It wasn't my choice," I say, "My mother is the reason I'm here."

He laughs, "yeah me too, but I think I'll like it."

I turn my attention back to the teacher and slowly zone out while still managing to learn the material.

I then hear him announce that we can go early, I look at the time and there's 20 minutes until lunch.

I smile then pack up my things. Then I leave at a normal speed.

"So what are your classes?" I hear Issac ask.

"History is First, second Is Astrology, then third I have Language, and fourth is Chemistry." I say. "Then on B days it's Finance, then Music Theory, third is Math, and fourth is Government."

I watch the boy check his schedule, I take this time to get a good look at him. Issac is definitely taller than me, probably 5'9 or 5'10, not much but he is taller. He has a dusty blonde-ish color of hair and barely tanned skin, much like mine. He has glasses that make his silvery eyes stand out. His structured jaw draws the eyes and practically forces them to travel down his neck to his broad shoulders. This kid is skinny but strong, he's going to get picked on if he can't make a friend other than me.

"So we have the same classes!" He shouts.

Great.

"If you don't mind I'd like to keep hanging out with you, just so you can show me how the school works, but if not I totally understand." He says.

"Nah, I don't mind but I must warn you, I'm the least popular kid in the school. Everyone either hates me or thinks I'm weird." I say, looking into the silver eyes light up.

"Thank you!" He smiles, I look at his teeth and notice an only slightly crooked tooth in his otherwise perfect smile.

"We have about fifteen until lunch, so we get to pick out a table before everyone else, follow me." I say and turn to the stairs.

We head to the commons and pick a table, it's the place where no one sits.

"Where are you from?" I ask the boy.

"I'd rather not talk about it," he says.

I nod and say, "I get that, if you ever want to talk about it in the future I'm here."

"Thanks." He says.

"Are you joining any clubs?" I ask.

"Nah, nothing really stood out to me, but maybe later in the year." He laughs.

I chuckle and say, "Yeah me too, but I've gone through three years of it— I'm in 11th." I smile, and look into those perfect silver eyes once again.

"Well that sucks, maybe I'll have better luck!" He laughs, then says," Or maybe we could just make our own club, call it 'the club for people who can't find a club'" we both laugh harder than before.

"The kid made a friend and this is the first time I've ever seen him smile let alone laugh!" I hear whispers from the slowly growing crowd.

"We can get lunch now," I say, and smile at Issac.

"I think they're gay," I hear a masculine voice whisper. My smile drops, and both Issac and I get lunch separately.

Once I sit at our table again I start to eat. Our school actually has some pretty good food.

Issac takes a seat and starts to munch on a roll.

We sit in silence, I listen to the chatter of the crowd. Issac is probably trying to get a read on me, like I've already done to him.

Good luck kid.

"What's your favorite class?" I look up at the questioning boy.

"That's a tough one, probably Music Theory. There is only eight of us in that class, so everyone gets treated fairly. The people in that class aren't the worst either." I say, then look down again.

"Wes."

I look up at the person saying my name.

It's Trevor, this isn't what I wanted today.

"Yes Trevor?" I ask.

"Come with me," I stand, but so does Issac. "Alone," he says and Issac sits down again.

"Okay, I won't run either, so please don't touch me," I say.

I follow Trevor to the back of the school, instantly, I wish I would've ran when I had the chance.
