MICHAEL'S POV

"Aaand curtain in 5...4...3...2... now." I whispered into the headset. I examined the actors piling up in the wings getting ready to enter onto the stage. Many of the taking deep breaths and getting in the mood.

Jeremy adjusted his hat as the band warmed up. He looked back at me sitting just behind the curtain. I gave him an exited thumbs up and prideful grin. He made a heart with his hands back to me, winking and sticking out his tongue.

Soon after he slapped an unhuman smile on his face and danced onto stage, perfectly doing the crazy choreography. As crazy as highschool theater dance moves get at least.

I caught glances of him with his big striped white and red hat and cheap black suit. He is playing the Cat in the hat in Seussical the Musical.

On his que, he placed his hat in the middle of the stage and ran off. He has adorably messed up hair leftover from the hat. However, I couldn't focus on that right now, I have to handle my responsibilities too.

"Curtain close." I said signaling the person controlling the curtain. I looked back down to my clipboard making sure I dont forget something that needs to be done. I think I'm all good.

When I look up Jeremy is messing around with some of his freinds in the ensamble. He quietly laughs and does some hand motions. His freinds laugh in response even harder than before.

He dismisses himself to go back on stage. He approaches the freshman who is playing Jojo, continuing with their lines.

I smile with pride. All I can think is my boyfriend is so talented.

I continue with my duties until act one is over. The audience claps and yells as the whole cast dances off. Jeremy is the last off stage. I stand from the spot I havent moved from a little under an hour and walk towards him.

He smiles contently. Sweat drips from his temples from the dancing and bright lights. I hug him regardless and peck him on the lips.

"You did great, hon." I complimented him. He laughed lightly.

"Thanks Micha. Phew I was a bit nervous cause its opening night and all." He admitted with a small breath.

We held eachother at the arms loosely. I reached up to his face and gave him another quick kiss. It lasted longer than I intended but I'm not complaining.

cast members walked by, but didnt talk to us because of the obvious intimate moment we were having. I pull away and look at his hat. I reach up, take it off, and continue to kiss him sweetly.

"That's better." I commented about the hat. His hair got messy again. I ruffled the straggly nest on top of his head. It was sweaty...

"Wanna go backstage for a snack? I have some goldfish in my bag." He asked me.

"Are you allowed to have those?"

"Shhhh. Mr Reyes doesn't have to know." He said with a wink.

"Wow, that sounded strangely seductive, Jere." I said with a snicker. He laughed and took my hand as we walked to the men's dressing room.

He went to his theater bag sitting in one of the cubbies and pulled out a sandwich baggie full of the delicious cheesey snack.

We sat in the corner and ate goldfish as we talked.

"Ok, so think about this," I engaged changing my position to face him. "Peanut butter on broccoli."

"Michael. No!" He face palmed.

"Oh c'mon it sounds good!"

"No. It really doesn't. "

"Your saying you wouldn't even try it?"
