"W-what?" Leah said with a stutter, trying to process what I had said, "What do you mean? Who was that guy?"

"I don't know, I've never seen him before. But he is apparently the one who murdered my family and came back for me..." I said as I picked myself up off the ground and started to walk.

"Wait, where are you going?" Leah questioned in a rushed voice, seemingly confused as what was happening at that moment.

"To school?" I questioned as I sped up, trying to lose her and her questioning self.

"But why? Shouldn't you go to the hospital or at least stay home? You just got attacked!" She exclaimed as she rushed to be by my side.

"Yeah and? If I stay here and he returns, I'm a dead man. If I go to the hospital, they'll tell Mrs. Grey and I don't want to bother her. Going to school is my only option right now," I said with a huff as I was practically running at this point to get away from her.

"You don't have to go to school. We can skip school and just hang out," Leah said as she stopped in her tracks while I continued on my way to school.

"And why would I want to go anywhere with you?" I said

"After the morning we had, we could use a break," She exclaimed and I could hear the smile in her voice.

'The morning WE had?! YOU weren't the one who had a knife held to your throat by the man who killed your family,' I thought as I turned to her. I stayed quiet while I tried to process what was going through my head before I finally came to decision.

"Fine, but you're buying me breakfast," I said as I headed in her direction, watching as she started jumping in the air.

'Oh god, what did I get myself into,' I thought as she grabbed my arm, pulling me towards downtown.
