Today's the 13th of March. It seemed that today was just as any other day, at least, that's how Cameron would see it. Today was his birthday. Already, he couldn't wait for the day to be over. The small high school he attended in Oklahoma City was common to every stereotype known to mankind. Wandering the halls, Cameron meets two familiar faces; Anna and Jacob. It's become a routine since day one of their friendship. Each of them greet him, Jacob beginning by asking him if he'd gotten any sleep. "You look like you've got hit by a train." He laughs as he teases his friend. Cameron nodded slowly. "I fell asleep around eleven. According to science, that's the recommended hours kids our age should sleep." Once again, Jacob laughed. This laughter, though, sounded mocking. "You're always gonna be a nerd, huh, dude?" He poked his friend's arm with a smirk. It seemed that Anna was unusually quiet, which sparked interest in Cameron. However, the boy didn't want to press the issue so he ignored it and walked with her and Jacob to class. Him and Anna had been close since primary school. He could always sense when she was at her worst. It was almost as if they were connected by some supernatural force. Well, that's what Cameron's nerd-brain wanted to believe, anyway. On the contrary, Jacob and Cameron's friendship had only existed since year three. They weren't ordinary friends and not many expected the pairing. Once classes were out for the day, Jacob suggested a sleepover at his house.It was presumably for the occasion of Cameron’s birthday. Even more convenient that his parents weren’t going to be home. The suggestion had made Anna smile for what seemed to be the first time today. In response, she had given both of her friends a big hug. The affection caught Cameron off guard as he was going to ask about her previous demeanor. Though, he was interrupted by Jacob speaking up again. The boy had mentioned that he wants to show his friends a big secret. They both look astonished at the mention. The agreement is made to meet at Jacob’s house around 5pm. Don’t be late.
