Your eyes once again looks up at the ceiling that was made of timber, decaying from its foundation. Your eyelids feels heavy from the exhaustion that your body was giving off, fatigue from working for your lovesick father. He never acted normal and felt hopeless, shutting himself in his room that was parallel from yours. Ever since he lost your mother the same day you were born, you never felt any love in return. Yet you still loved your father hoping that he would at least take a hint that you are pushing yourself to work for him.
Your body rests against the creme futon that lays on the ligneous floor. Your room was cramped that contained your futon, a small old dresser and a closet which is filled with your clothes. The stench of decomposing corpses that seemingly belongs to a rat, filled the room. You have gotten used with this life known as a plebeian living in the forest. It was reality's harsh social structure, degrading you down to the lowest.

You forcefully stood up from your position with your hands supporting you. While your feet felt the cold temperature from the floor, you heard faint chattering between a male and female that awaits from the doorstep. Your hand hitched the doorknob, twisting it clockwise which opened the door. You look up to see your father talking with a cloaked individual. It appears to be a female with glistening white locks and lilac orbs, she seems to be an upper class by the looks of her face which was already showing elegance.
The unfamiliar woman turned a look at you as a impish smirk played upon her plump lips that were painted in a red hue. "I have made my decision to accept your request. Yet I would like something in return." The woman's voice echoed against the corridors. You felt uneasy and skeptical for the woman. As the woman led your father in a different room making you lose your sight of them.

You decided not to eavesdrop further and continued to do your routine. The days continued with the same routine, but the curiosity that played in your mind making you worried sickly for your father. Your thoughts were discarded from the sounds of leaves and sticks crunching against forest floor. It seems to have been moving in a pace of a person walking. You didn't mind at first until you were stopped by someone.
You peered, filled with curiosity as you scrutinize the individual in front of you. The person in front of you seemed to be masculine, his messy beige hair complimented his eyes that mimics the color of amethyst. His eyes were uneven one that was fully filled with the shade of violet, one that had the color of onyx surrounding his orb. You couldn't really determine what those eyes showed nor were you familiar with the menace that the individual held.

His lips curled into a smile, showing interest to the character that was in front of him. You showed no fear towards him but instead it showed curiosity. Unaware of his background you continued to stare back at him, completely oblivious you gave him a soft smile. "I haven't seen you around this area so what brings you here?" You broke the prolonged silence that both of you shared. The moment your voice discarded the silence, a smirk played on the male's lips.
"Oh? Maybe I should ask what is a commoner doing here out in the woods? Shouldn't they be working just like how their fate says so?" His footsteps created crunches of dried leaves that scattered around the ground. His voice laced with arrogance as he smirks pridefully, it didn't seem that he loathed you. But him mentioning your ranking irked you, "Excuse me? Is that how you treat people who just asked you nicely and just straight up insult the person?" You let out a low growl, annoyed with his response.

"I wasn't insulting you, I was stating facts. Aren't you tired of being a commoner? Why not work beneath me? I could offer a better job than what the others have to offer" He stated boastfully while a mischievous smirk was still playing on his lips. You rose a brow, suspicious about his offer but then you would consider your connections with your only family. "I don't want another job. I still live a stable life even if I have a crappy job." You retorted, clenching your fist in irritation. And started to walk past him, continuing along your pathway leading towards your home "Walk all you want, grow tired but remember you'll still end up in the same place. And that is working underneath me."
You could still feel the presence of the male staring at your figure that is walking away from him. You just disregarded the fact that he was still watching your from afar. But you feared that he might know where you lived. So you hid behind the trees waiting for the time when you think the male already left.

Nothing out of the particular happened from the past few days. You still lived with the same routine. Your father, who was the only reason why are you still here, was speaking with the woman you've seen weeks ago. She still have the same untrusting smile plastered against her lips. The moment your footsteps was heard approaching the room, your father stood up from his seat and dismissed himself leaving you with the mysterious woman.
"I've see that you have quite a.... relationship with your father." The woman began to speak with the usual smile on her face. You clicked your tongue having distaste on the current topic that she's trying to bring up. "I could see that you're really trying hard to work for your father... I'm here to support that and I'll be able to provide you with a job. I could also reassure you that you will still be in contact with your father. Isn't that great? So do you accept?" She holds out a piece of paper which revealed the contract written. All you had to do is sign the paper and you'll be accepted with your new job.

"You look convinced by it. So what are you waiting for? Sign it" You felt hesitant on her demanding behavior she gave off. You then look at her for a pen or pencil making her chuckle "Oh silly me! Here you go~" She then took out a knife making you jerk backwards, falling down her bottom. You were frightened on the sharp item she was holding yet it doesn't seem that she would do anything with it. "It's a blood oath darling, no need to be scared~" She reassures you making you raise a brow where all alarms in your mind has started to go off.
You sigh as you stand up taking the sharp object from her hand. Your hand weak as you make a small wound in your index finger. You slid your finger against the paper, signing the contract with your own blood.

"Great! You'll be starting tomorrow and I almost forgot, you may call me as Alice."
