Ubercorn's POV:

Kyan and I raced into the ward. Abigail was anxiously waiting for us by the door.

"Abigail! Where's Xuli?!" I asked her.

The doctor said nothing but pointed at the bed. At first, I thought it was a whole different person. But when I took a closer look, it slowly familiarized in front of my face.

Xuli.

She lay on the bed. She looked so much smaller than before. Her hair was thinning, and her cheeks were glistening with tears. She really seemed to have been through a lot since when we last saw her.

"Is that a result of everything that happened to her earlier..?" I trembled, looking at the fragile-looking pilot.

"Unfortunately." Abigail answered.

"She looks like death warmed up!!" Kyan noted, "What happened?!"

"You heard every bit of what I said, didn't you?" Abigail said, a hint of suspicion in her posh accent.

"Yeah, I did!" The gymnast retaliated.

"Look, she's obviously having bad thoughts that seem to be doing her head in. If you could just-" Said Abigail, but she was immediately cut off by heavy tossing and turning, loud breathing and faint voices.

We all turned to look at the source. It was almost like Xuli was having a seizure in her sleep; she was tossing and turning from left to right, from right to left, and from left to right again. Whispers turned into murmurs then words then loud, high-pitched screams.

"GET AWAY!!! STOP!!!!"

Before we could do anything to slow her down, to try cool things down, the yelling slowly subsided into nothing.

"What..." Said Kyan, "...on earth just happened?"

"Nightmare...right?" I said to Abigail.

"Obviously," she answered. "Looks like her mind is way too fogged up with all that..."

We all stood in an unexpected silence. When there was the sound of someone moaning.

We all turned to look on the bed. Xuli's eyes were slowly opening up. Very, very, v e r y slowly.

Using a switch not too far away from her reach, Abigail turned down the lights in front of Xuli's bed (as they seemed to be too bright for her). As soon as the lights were low enough, her eyelids gradually fluttered open, mixed with a whole load of moaning sounds.

Her tired eyes looked faintly at us.

"U-Ubercorn..? Kyan..?"
