Chapter 6 : Forgotten

Spencer's POV

"Come on Spence it's time for you to lighten up" Aria says handing me a silk red dress. I widen my eyes as I realise how short it was.

"Guys I'm honestly fine here" I argue but Hanna and Aria shake their heads in disagreement.

The two of them are trying their hardest to get me to go to a party that everyone is talking about. They want to make the most of college and that therefore means socialise with others. They don't even know who's party it is but they just badly want to go and have fun. I would however much rather stay here and catch up on my homework.

After my fight with Toby I went straight to Hanna and Aria and told them what happened. Hanna was shocked that Kate even went to Upenn. Since her parents got divorced she hasn't been in touch with her father or his new family. Hanna however did know how much of a bitch Kate was.

They were also shocked that Alex showed up. I mean me and him have history yes but that doesn't give him the right to just things will go back to how they were before. He expects me to forgive him just like that. I must admit the feelings I have for Alex still linger there but I can't go running back to him so easily.

It's been a few days and I've moved on. Yes I'm still pissed that Toby got all angry at me when I did absolutely nothing wrong but at the same time I don't even know why I care so much. Let him think what he wants. It's been super awkward being in the room together because we are both not talking and avoiding each other as much as possible. I've just been going over to Aria or Hanna's dorm rooms to prevent having to be alone with Toby.

We are in Aria's dorm room right now since Ezra is out and all our classes are done for the day. I really don't feel like going out and to be honest I never do. I have always been such an introvert and I doubt that'll ever change.

"Spencer you are coming with us whether you like it or not. We are in college now, let's live a little" Hanna says with a demanding tone. I let out a frustrated sigh and fall dramatically on the bed.

"Kate will be there you know" I say to Hanna hoping she'll change her mind but instead she shrugs her shoulders.

"I really don't care now come on. We only have three hours to get ready" Hanna argues and I widen my eyes.

"Three hours is plenty of time" I say sitting upright on the bed. Aria and Hanna furrow their eyebrows.

"Three hours isn't near enough time to get ready" Aria says pulling me up and shoving me into the bathroom. She throws in the red dress and I groan. Well I guess we are really doing this.

"Spencer you look gorgeous" Hanna says applying some lip gloss to my lips. Meanwhile Aria is curling my hair into ringlets which end just below my shoulder.

"I agree we should dress you up more often Spence" Aria says.

I look in to the mirror and study my reflection. My usually pale skin is now slightly bronzed and dewy. Their is a nice rosy tint to my lips which matches my strapless dress.

"You guys look amazing too. Thanks for getting me ready" I reply and they smile.

Hanna and Aria were wearing the same dress as me but it different colours. Hanna's dress is a teal colour which she's matched with gold jewellery. Aria on the other hand has a purple version of the strapless dress and she has paired hers with these stunning silver high heels.

I've come around to the idea of going to the party now. Before I wasn't so sure but now I'm thinking it could be a lot of fun. I'll also be able to get my mind off of all the other things in my life that stress me out.
