The Path

"Roman come back!" yelled a young tan girl, her blue eyes following a small figure in the near distance. "Tree, wait up!" called her friend not far behind her, the girl's long white hair flowed gracefully in the wind as she chased her friend down the rocky hill trying not to stumble on the loose pebbles that surrounded them. Beside her was a tall, fairly built guy with darkened black like blue hair, glowing green eyes and a large smile to complement his large glasses that struggled to stay on his face as he went down the hill. "Gotcha" said Tree, her golden tan arms embracing the young boy. "Aww" exclaimed Roman his green and brown tinted eyes widened as he began to laugh. "Man that kid can run!" exclaimed Dante who was following Tree and her friend KC. Dante stayed in place for a few moments gasping for air, his large glasses fogging in the fall air, covering his majestic green eyes. "Suck it up Te Te" said KC cracking up as she put her thin white hair in a bun. Tree let go of Roman as he bolted out of her arms, running in circles. Roman pretended to be a plane first lifting his small arms then proceeding to producing child plane noises. Tree, KC, and Dante looked around trying to figure out how far from the trail they had strayed. As they looked they saw a pink figure not far from them, it seemed to be coming closer. Immediately the evil presence could be felt from there now 12 feet distance as they all noticed who it was. "What's she doing here, I mean the princess plus the outside is enough to make me laugh" said KC laughing under her breath, Trees smile began to fade, her golden skin losing its glow. At the same time KC proceeded to go before Tree shielding her from the rose person who came near and Dante hid, dredging the arrival of this person.

    "Penny" said KC in a slow sarcastic tone, one commonly used around this girl. A blonde girl  stood closer, her pale skin came close enough to touch KC making the white haired girl wish she had been 12 feet away once again. Penny was followed by a tall boy around 6-7 feet tall, only a bit shorter than Dante, his cocky nature wasn't concealed as he consistently fixed his brown hair that blew over his golden eyes in the leafy winds of fall. "Hey, Dante" whispered Penny softly, waving alluringly to Dante, with the eerie sound of her voice Dante slid behind Tree. "What are you doing here" asked Tree as she grabbed Roman in her arms.  "Why do you care twig, it's not like you own the place" scolded Penny as if she herself had owned the paths. "Well if you wanna know butter cup, princess over here lost something on our date. Because I, being a romantic, loving, amazing boyfriend, had thought we could bond but she is always so uptight"said Sam, Penny's boyfriend arrogantly going on about himself. "But you know there's only one girl who'll ever be good enough for me, she's my type. Its you Tree" he whispered into Trees ear, Dante behind them heard it too causing him to yell. "Well I better take Roman from you so we can play...plane" he barked grabbing Roman from Tree's arms softly cutting between Sam and her. As he got Roman in his arms, tossing him up and down in the bright blue sky, he felt a tight squeeze winding him, causing him to tip slightly almost resulting in him dropping Roman he looked down as he put Roman down to play. It was Penny she ran into him, embracing him, as if to mark him as her territory in front of Tree who had been busy trying to deal with Sam. "You never told me that your an angle"Sam said "Cause I'm no~" Tree was cut off by Sam "Cause your a-cute" he said bathing in what he thought was the best pick up line ever. 
      "Well, it was um, nice to see you guys" KC said sarcastically  pulling her friends towards her, saving Tree and Dante from anymore of Sam or Penny, as Tree picked up Roman who was upset, as this had meant his running around acting as a plane was over. "But we gotta, um go soon so bye" KC yelled running with the others near an oak bridge that Tree had debated its stability because it was about as big as Roman. But as they sprinted across it they discovered it had been, to Tree's delight and confusion. Tree did though find it odd, that there were random languages written on the bridge, the only words that Tree could read was a series of words made of Mandarin, Spanish, and French saying  Labyrinth, Mirror, Thing, Path, and Watch. It was a little creepy and gave Tree an eerie feeling, but it was a small town so it was probably a prank from some low life. Once past the bridge hey saw a beautiful landscape of green, damp grass both tall and small, flowers of many colours and shapes, trees but only a few and an assortment of berries. "This is beautiful, I could stay here forever" said Tree, the fantasy like place had her questioning the reality of it. Tree looked into the depths of the rural landscape and then she saw them. "Man, why won't they just leave us alone!"screamed KC beginning to burn, her feury bubbling up. "Dante where'd you go" said Penny panting trying to find him. BAM! "Oh my, uh Penny are you ok" said Dante in a caring but irritated voice helping Penny off the mystic emerald grass. Penny tried to get up, stumbling on air.  "Ow, I think I..I broke my ankle"she said in the tone of a fox, in lies. She leaned her body against his, using him as support. "I don't think I'll be able to walk. Dante could you help?" whined Penny causing Tree to simply roll her eyes in disbelief. Dante needed not to answer because Penny had been already death gripped onto his muscular arms, holding one and putting the other over her shoulders. The sight caused both KC and Roman to make constant motions of sickness laughing in each others company. Tree had not seen the others because she was busy trying to deflect politely the rapid fire of lines Sam had been attempting to use on her from, "Are you google, cause your all I'm searching for" to "Are you french, because Eiffel for you". With each one she brushed them off with, "oh well that's sweet"or, "your right you should totally say that to Penny, your girlfriend", she always made sure to emphasize the "Your girlfriend Penny" as if to remind him of his partner.
