46. Remembering PT 2 (Fluff)

Keith lazily opens his eyes and coming face with Lance, he's totally forgotten about last night for a second. A tired smile appears on his face when he feels Lance's arms around him, he tries to carefully get out of his grasp but is stopped when Lance squeezes him tighter. Keith quietly chuckles and Lance's eyes flutter open. Lance smiles at Keith lazily, which Keith returns. "Morning." Is all Lance says before placing a kiss on Keith's forehead. "Morning." Keith places a kiss on Lance's jaw and makes his way out of his grasp. "No... Come back to bed." Lance pouts and takes a hold of his wrist. Keith yawns and stretches, that's when Lance can really look at his scars.

Lance yanks Keith onto the bed and pins him down, Keith chuckles and allows him to. "What are you doing?" Keith asks while Lance is running his fingertips over everyone of his scars. Before Keith can even speak; Lance leans down and kisses the scar near his heart, then he moves to the one under his rib cage, then to the one above his belly button. By time Lance reaches the scar above his belly button, Keith is a very nervous wreck. He completely red and his heart is racing, and he's a bit self-conscious. "Please don't do that..." Keith says in barely a whisper, Lance looks up and places a kiss on Keith's forehead. "I don't like the scars Lance." Keith doesn't dare to look Lance in the eye, if he does, he thinks he might start crying.

Lance only places his palm on Keith's jaw and makes him look at him in the eye, "You should like your scars Keith." Lance says softly before straddling Keith so he won't move, not in a sexual way of course, he just wants to prove a point. Keith freezes at Lance's words and Lance runs his fingers of a scar from the crash, "They prove you survived an awful wreck." Keith feels tears forming and Lance moves his hand over a scar from a surgery. "The ones you got from surgeries proves you fought death twice." Lance kisses the scar right in the middle of his chest, by now, Keith has tears going down his cheeks. "I know that you said you felt guilty for surviving last night, but I believe you were meant to live." Lance runs his fingertips over the longest scar, which is on Keith's right side.

"Your mom and dad died that night, and I get that it's hard to think about. Your mom and dad fought for you to live the best life possible, even if they aren't here, I think they would still want you to live your best life." Keith wipes his tears and Lance leans down to kiss Keith, which he returns. When the two pull away Lance speaks up again, "When times get tough, I'm going to be right there to help you because I'm going to be by your side." Keith smiles and Lance wipes his tears, "I lost you once, and now you're not going to leave my sight because I plan on being with you for a very long time." Now Lance has a few tears falling, Keith smiles and wipes his tears. Keith chuckles, "That sounds like a proposal." Keith pulls Lance into a kiss, he flips Lance and it's his turn to straddle him.

Lance only chuckles, "A bit too early for that, but I do see my future being with you." Lance pulls Keith into another kiss. When the two pull away Keith sits back up and so does Lance, Keith is now just sitting his lap which is making him blush. "You know Lance, we just got together after not seeing each other for 9 years and to be honest, kissing you is so weird." The two both chuckle before Lance pulls him into another kiss. Keith smiles into the kiss and kisses him back, the two pull away and rest their foreheads against each other's. "You're going to have to get used to it." Lance pecks Keith's cheek that has his scar, Keith chuckles and returns the gesture. The two chuckle and Keith pulls Lance into a kiss, the two then stay like that for a good 15 minutes.

Both have mutual feelings of not wanting to go any farther than just kissing, it's so soon and they have a lot of catching up. The two just simply want to be in each other's arms, not wanting to let go.

"Lance, Keith! Time to get up! It's after 1!" Rosa bursts in and Keith scurries off Lance's lap, the both of them turning red. She chuckles and shakes her head, "Boys, I know that you're adults now. You're old enough to make decisions. Stop being embarrassed." She says and makes her way back to the kitchen, the two only look at each other with shock. After she is out of view, the two laugh and Lance leans to kiss Keith's forehead. "Let's go get something to eat." Lance says while getting off the bed then walking to the kitchen in just his boxers, Keith puts on his shirt and follows right behind him. When Keith enters, he sees Pidge and Hunk at the table eating grilled cheese. He smiles at them shyly, "Hey guys." They smile at him but notices his puffy eyes. "Hey man, have you been crying?" Hunk asks, and Keith only smiles. "I was, but I'm fine now." He sits down at the table across from Pidge, Lance is making something and Keith is sitting there awkwardly. The three converse, getting Keith to laugh and Lance swoops in with a plate of grilled cheese and a kiss on the cheek. The two other sit there in shock at the action, Keith only smiles at Lance and pulls him into a kiss. "Thanks babe." Keith lets the pet name slip and Lance goes pink, their two other friends are sitting there in shock while Rosa laughs at them.

"When did this happen?" Pidge yells while standing up to lean on the table, the two chuckle and look at each other. "It technically started when we were 10-ish, but we became a thing last night after you left." Lance sits next to Keith with his own plate, Pidge also sits down and continues to eat their lunch.

After lunch they decide to go to school to get their homework from the first day, which isn't really anything. It's just the syllabus and stuff they need for the class. The two hang out at their old hang out, the entire school being confused on why everything is suddenly better. The bus stop is right by the playground and their hangout, Allura watches from afar and so does every other girl Lance has flirted with. They're confused on why Lance is suddenly kissing a guy, I mean Lance has been flirting with a lot of girls the past 2 and a half years. 

Lance doesn't care what people think, he has his Keith back. A childhood friend that was really important to him when he was younger. As he got older he realized his friend was more than that to him, he started falling in love with his best friend. He himself, changed a little but not a lot.  Keith on the other hand, has changed a lot but the qualities that Lance fell in love with were still there. The two connected after Keith got his memories back, and the two now have to learn to love each other and their new personalities. But that's something every couple has to do because everyone changes over time. 

Their love story is quite tragic from the beginning, but it blossomed into a beautiful relationship. But this is not the ending, the two have to face much more in the future and I hope you're prepared for that!
