I think somewhere along the lines of me doing homework last night, I ended up falling asleep. My books were currently sprawled out across my desk, along with my papers and anything else I had out last night.
Then there's me. I felt my hair fanned out across the desk, probably already full of tangles and there was a slight drool spot on the side of my cheek. Lifting my head up, I ran my hand over my hair and looked over to the window. The sun was shining and shit. I probably over slept for school.
Hunter, you dweeb! I am so killing him the next time I see him! My parents, too. I quickly shot out of my chair and ran to my bed, throwing the blankets and pillows around until I found my phone, and of course it wasn't there. Standing up straight, I scratched my head and groaned. I was late for school, looked like I rose from the dead, and my phone was apparently missing. Happy Wednesday to you Alexis.
"Looking for this?" I spun around at the sound of a knock on my door and my brothers stupid voice. He leaned against my door frame, one of his hands stuffed in his jean pockets and the other holding my one and only missing phone. How he got it was a mystery to me.
Glaring at him, I stomped over to him and snatched my phone from his hands. He obviously thought this was funny and I wanted to smack that stupid smirk off his face.
"How did you get this?" I asked, folding my arms across my chest and tapping my foot impatiently.
"You're not exactly a light sleeper," He said, nodding his head in the direction of my desk. "Not a pretty one, either."
Hunter Brewer, you better hope to God that the purge doesn't become a thing.
"You couldn't have woken me up, I don't know.." I bit, seeing the time on my phone read 7:08 am. "Maybe thirty minutes ago?" Storming past him, I pushed the bathroom door open and grabbed my hair brush.
"Nope," He replied. "Wouldn't want you taking extra long to look pretty for Parker who's going to be here in about twenty."
Oh. My. God.
I was obviously not hearing right. Did he just say Parker was going to be here? And in twenty? Because I'm pretty sure I did, or I'm going crazy.
"Hunter Lee Brewer!" I shouted, my jaw hanging open. Throwing my brush at him, he let out a laugh and I slammed the bathroom door shut. "I am going to kill you!"
"Love you." He said and I heard his foot steps as he walked away, most likely feeling satisfied with himself.
And with that, I spent the next fifteen minutes trying to look some what decent. Throwing my hair in a quick bun, I walked over to my closet and pulled out a pair of skinny jeans and a sweater, quickly putting them on before going down stairs.
Parker, who I had no idea why is supposed to be picking me up, will be here in about five minutes. In that time I was going to interrogate my idiot brother.
"Hunter, you better hope to God you can run." I warned him, even though anyone with one glance at me could tell I didn't run. Hunter could out run me like it was a piece of cake. Which it was, for him and anyone else. Storming into the kitchen, I held up one of his shoes, charging after him.
"Whoa, okay." His eyes widened and there was a smirk on his face as he stood up, going to the opposite side of the island counter. "What got your panties in a twist?"
"Why is Parker picking me up?" The shoe was still in my hand, and I made no move to put it down any time soon.
"So this is what this is about," He laughed and that only added fuel to the fire. Glaring at him, I held up the shoe and made a bee line for the other side of the counter. But him being soccer captain, of course he saw it coming and darted to the side I was just on.
