The Contract-Killer:

Y/N pulled his leather gloves over his hands. Fastening them one by one. With the two resounding clicks, he unlocked his briefcase. F/N stared down at its contents. Two pistols, a knife, fiber cable, and several clips. Everything that he would need for the next couple hours.

The sooner. The better.

One by one, Y/N placed the pistols into his shoulder holsters. The knife and extra clips to his hip. Locking the briefcase, he placed it into a panel on the wall. The wall twisted and enclosed the panel. Like it never existed.

The floor under his feet vibrated. Y/N knew that they had reached his destination. Time for the Contracts. To his right, a wall moved and allowed the sight of nature to enter his vision. He walked towards the opening and walked down the steps that formed.

Tapping the inside of his ear, he navigated towards the sounds of civilization. His surroundings were similar. He had visited Mistral hundreds of times during his career. Hundreds of confirmed kills littered the city. In and out.

Agent Zero allowed his body to guide him. But, not before looking over his shoulder at his transport. Just soon enough to catch a glimpse of its dark exterior before it vanished.

An elevator dinged as the doors opened. Y/N walked out with an inebriated man on his shoulder. They continued down the hall. The floor was empty besides for them. That made his assignment easier. Witnesses were always a hassle to deal with.

The pair reached a locked door. Y/N grabbed the man's right hand and waved it above the door handle. He heard the door unlock and opened the door. Throwing the man on the bed, he scanned the room. Documents or papers that would incriminate him for violations. And more importantly, information on his various immoral pastimes.

Y/N walked towards the room's desk. Where a holographic screen stood. He plugged a drive into the connected hub. It would break any encryptions and firewalls as needed. Then, it would begin duplicating every last byte of data.

Agent Zero turned his attention back to the man. Y/N searched the unconscious man's pockets, shirt, shoes, and legs. Opening his shirt, he put something into his jacket's inner pocket. Money, keys, and papers. Y/N searched the rest of the suite as he waited for the drive to finalize.

He stopped at a mirror. Y/N saw his reflection staring back at him. Black suit, white undershirt, red and black tie, black leather gloves and dark slacks. His black and red locks shifted along his pale skin. His reflection nodded at him and moved away to finish its own job.

"Let's continue." Y/N copied his reflection's actions. The drive had finished. The Hitman secured the storage device and stopped at the foot of the man's bed.

"Zero here. Come in."

The communicator in his ear activated. "Status."

"It's finished." Y/N declared. "The files are secured and the target is knocked out."

"Confirmed." The feminine voice acknowledged. "New mission parameters were received from Command. You are to eliminate the target."

He nodded. "Scenario?"

"Up to the Agent's discretion. Just validate the kill."

His earpiece deactivated. Y/N inhaled. His heart quickened at the new parameters. His pupils dilated. He was born for this. He trained to kill his target as effective and ruthless as an apex predator. Biologically speaking, he's the most evolved being on this rock he calls home. Remnant was his playground. And everybody was his prey.

Y/N equipped his iconic pistol. He steadily aimed it at the man. Squeezing the trigger, a high pitched whine sounded. He lowered his arm and reholstered the firearm. He started out the door. Locked it and closed it behind him. And placed a 'do not disturb' placard on the door handle.

Y/N fixed his suit jacket as he exited the hotel. He easily blended into the crowds.

"It's done."

"Acknowledged. The final target can be found 5 blocks east."

Y/N changed his heading. "Details."

"An ex-pat from Vacuo. Flagged for selling Military technology and critical information to the White Fang. Immediate termination is mandated for this Contract. The target goes by the name-"

Y/N tightened his grip. His gloves screeching in complaint at his above-average strength—Huntsmen strength. Nails attempted to gouge into his pectorals. Frantic hands struggled to liberate their owner of the suffocating grasp. Icy-silver glared down at doe-brown eyes. Panic and terror chipped away at the stunning orbs. A gorgeous raven-haired woman stared in horror at her soon-to-be murderer's face. Her throat muscles began to contract and release involuntarily in an attempt to obtain oxygen. Darkness started to intrude upon her vision. The agonizing sound of her heart beating harassed her ears. She was in pain. The panic she felt only amplified the pain that wracked at her spine. She tried to scream for help. For the man to stop. For this all to be a tragic nightmare. But it never did. Feeble hands attempted one final struggle.

Hoping and praying for success.

Y/N doubled his strength. He heard a loud crack as the woman collapsed into his arms.

Y/N took the now corpse into his arms. He stared at her face. She was very striking. He'd even go as far as to say that she was one of the more beautiful women in the four kingdoms. In a different life, she could have lived relatively normal. Maybe the next will suit her better.

He strode over to an empty room. Deposited the body and vacated the premises. Once again fading into the bustling streets.

"The body's positioned as instructed. Heading back to the transport."

"Good job, 0. Personnel will pick up the body soon. Head back. You've earned it."

Y/N quicked his pace. The sun was directly above him. Enough time to arrive home before lunch.

"That might be a record." Winter stated. She watched as Y/N loosened his tie before discarding it off to the side.
