Being Happy

"Caesar , Caesar , Caesar " I playfully chant  his name as Sandra ,Elaina and I prepare to meet him at his other penthouse . A party was being thrown for him after he won the best business entrepreneur of the year award in Tokyo. I was out of ideas for what to give him.
"Elaina help me out here , come on!" I yanked her arm.
"Oww! , Hey Kayla , he's your boyfriend after all. You know what he wants"She replied after brushing her hair.
"Well...but.."I stammered.
" ...But the problem is you're thinking about how you could possibly get him something that he can't afford..ha ha , which is quite hilarious since.."
"That's enough!" I cut off Sandra , trying to hide my smile.

She knows you that much huh..

"Fine.. you're right.."I burst out.
"Listen Aniya , you should know by now that he's in love with you ..all of you. Damn , it's been what ? ,a month and you haven't even gotten laid..."
"Elaina! "I giggle.
" It's my decision for us to wait"
"Exactly my point , the guy could have anyone he wants , but he's obeying the rules set by an eighteen year old...get it?"She winks at me .

You know she's right

"So what ?, are you two staying here all night? ,the driver has been waiting long enough and I truly need to get myself a Caesar at that party tonight"Sandra jokes and we can't help but laugh.
I run back upstairs to unplug my phone from charge and rush back down and into my car , Elaina and Sandra in the backseat.
"Good evening ladies , Miss Wills"Max ,the driver greets.
It's been a week since he worked for me and he's been quite friendly since he didn't glare at us after Sandra dragged Elaina and I to the mall two days ago and spent a decade shopping.
"Hello Max "Elaina squeaks and he just gives one of his signature smiles and drives off.

"You totally like the dude"Sandra mumbles.
"Shut up"Elaina scoffs and I giggle.

"You are warmly welcome "A woman in an extremely clingy pink gown greet us. She holds on to her tabloid as she requests for our names to check if we're on the list.

"Baby , finally"Caesar emerges .
I can't help but gawk at the man. He looked so sinful in a grey tuxedo , his brown eyes roaming over my body. his hair expertly trimmed and silver Rolex sparkly as always. I sucked in my breath.

Damn , I'm lucky.

"She's with me , Miss Stacy "He said to the woman as he urged Sandra and Elaina in .

We stepped into an elevator , a few people were about to join us but stepped back when they notice Caesar , the bowed their head in greeting instead as the elevator doors closed in on us.
" Let me guess , your employees "I muttered to him.
"Mmhmm"He mumbled , obviously distracted ,I turned to look at him and found him watching me.
"Babe , stop it" I nudged him on the side , he let out a husky laugh .
"You look so damn—"He pauses as he finally notices we're still not totally alone in the elevator.
"We'll continue this later Kay "He adds , before turning to chat briefly with Sandra and Elaina.
I intertwine my fingers in his ,  turning to face me ,he stares at our point of contact.
"I missed that "He smirks ,still staring at our hands clasped together. The elevator doors open and He finally looks up .

"We'll be with you two in a moment ladies , enjoy yourselves till then "Caesar winks at them and they playfully wink back before moving out of the elevator , before the doors close ,I notice more group of well dressed people settled in and walking leisurely around with glasses in hand ,waiters moving around , the light a class dim colour  causing a cool atmosphere as piano is played .
"Where are you taking me now Caesar"I wrap my arms around him the moment the doors close again.
"We're going to the third floor , I want to be alone with you for awhile"He whispers as he tightens our embrace ,his arms moving to settle on my hips , he moves me back a bit to take a good look at me.
" Is it legal for you to look this seductive to me? " his gaze shifts to my lips and I mischievously pout . He moves his gaze to my eyes and raises an eyebrow.

"Kayla .."He warns.
"Hey , you started it Mr Banks"I mutter , a slow passionate kiss following up.
"I knew this party was a bad idea"He mutters against my left cheek as he plays with my braids.
"What? , Come on Caesar , it's a great achievement that deserves the ....." I'm swiftly pushed back against him and into a kiss.
"....."I'm completely mesmerized by his presence now , his stature , his influence , his voice , his cologne...ahhh the cologne.

"This right here is the best I deserve.."He says , his eyes fixed on me.

Those brown eyes...

"I love you"I manage to say. He grimaces.
"Say it again "
" I love you"I roll my eyes.
"Baby..." His voice is low.
"You are not closing this party Caesar , Sandra and Elaina are going to kill me if you do." I try to give him a straight face.
" We haven't met in days..."
"3 days baby , you went for a seminar.. remember?"I giggle.
He places his hands in his pockets and I quickly miss his touch.
"Hey , don't stop holding"I try using my baby voice and earn a husky laugh from him.
"Make up your mind , Miss K , if I keep on caressing you like that , we ain't going back down"He declares and I swat his arm.
"Alright alright "I agree , pushing my braids back .
"How did the seminar go anyway?"I try to distract myself , his expression changes the moment I ask.
"....Caesar?"I  urge him on. He avoids my eyes for a few seconds , which tenses me up.

Oh-oh

"You're doing that thing you do when you don't want to lie to me.."I mumble.
"It's best I don't  let you know "He moves back a bit.
" Okay now I'm curious"I watch him as he settles in a coffee brown sofa.
"Baby what happened? "I move towards him.
"I don't want you to get mad"He finally looks back at me.

Mad?

I glare at him , halting.
"What do you mean by that?"
"Kayla—"
"There you are!" Caroline strides in , looking alluring in a glittery silver gown.
"All the guests are waiting for the man of the hour ,Caesar "She adds after giving me a hug.
"I was just on my way down"Caesar rises up .
"Caroline , you look stunning as always"I fix on a smile .
"So do you Kayla , I'm loving the braids."Caroline pats my shoulders. I widen my smile .
"Hurry up you two ,I'm going back downstairs"She waves and moves into the elevator.
"5minutes "She adds with a mischievous wink before the elevator doors close.
I feel Caesar move towards me.
"Honey..."He holds onto my arms , I shrug him off.
"Your guests are waiting on
you Mr Banks"I say before walking away.
