Their sacrifices can't be for nothing, this has to work. It HAS to.

Light fizzing can be heard, followed by an explosion. The doctor cries out, flying back and hitting the wall hard.

He gets up for the thousandth time, he can't handle many more blows like that.

"U-ugh..." He groans in agony as he shuffles back to the computer area.

Typing...

Typing. He will do this. He will never give up.

"A....A.....A?"

"Ah....Ah.....Agh?"

"No no no, Chai, it's 'A', not 'Ah'. OK?"

"Ah...A-ah...A!"

"Yes, very good!"

The doctor pats the wolf's head lightly. It's fur is... Not normal. The kinda texture you would expect if it were made of goo, which it was.

"Dr. Ugisaki? A word please." A young man with brown hair and pale skin steps into the lab room.

"Of course. Wait here and keep trying, you've got this!" The doctor taps the plastic, and then pats the monster's head again.

The doctor leaves the room with the young man, and then they meet in the hallway.

"Yes?" He says proudly.

"Doctor... What the fuck is that? Excuse my language, but seriously... What is that?" The young man asks.

"Well Tanaka, that is a monster I made. A very special one." The doctor says, still beaming.

"What is it for?" Tanaka asks.

"The government asked me to create a being that would be invulnerable to anything except acid. Though, it's probably immune to acid as well." Ugisaki says thoughtfully.

"That's it? Just... They asked you and you did it?" Tanaka says concernedly.

"Yes, as easy as 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16, and so on going up to 1007 times. Because that's how many times it took for me to get a sample this stable." Ugisaki says placidly.

"But.. Why?" Tanaka says exasperatedly.

"I was able to get two volunteers, and create two samples. One named Chamu, and one named Chai. They are going to be apart of a military division that specializes in stealth capturing and transportation. Since they are effectively immortal, they can do this for as long as necessary." Ugisaki replies.

"Stealth capturing and transportation?! We don't do that! We agreed not to take human subjects and use the technology for that! This is insanity! What about their families and their loved ones?!" Tanaka says, getting louder and more shocked.

"You know I wouldn't do this without a reason! One of the subjects-"

"I don't give a damn about the subjects! You betrayed our cause! Y-you spat on it! You could've taken this to me first and- Goddamnit Anoha! This is the dumbest shit you have ever done!"

"It isn't my fault that they threatened to put us in jail and take our tech secrets away from us! If this technology became accessible to the public God knows what would happen next. This.. All this hard work, it built up to this point."

Tanaka glares hard, but listens intently.

"I know that they are going to use them to kill, to hurt and to harm. I'm fully aware of this Tanaka. I know what we can do. I have a plan. But, you need to trust me. The fact that we were able to get this far, shows that if the technology-them-gets out, that they could begin work on Project Aurora. The RN virus. The one that has been theorized extensively."

Tanaka gasps.

"So what you're saying is... If they get caught, the world will..."

"Yes. And they are smart, so once they are caught up, we will tell them and they will work with us."

"For the sake of life itself, they have to."
