The thoughts swirled, then proceeded to pool into a sea of endless possibilities, as Ink's frail figure cradled back and forth, never stopping as he stared at the white he usually feared, surrounded him, to caught up in his thoughts to make a note of concern at the approaching figure as they drew closer.
"Ink, are you okay? You seem out of it. Did something hap-"
Blue, his concerned friend, and teammate, who had sneaked up to his side, was cut off by Ink.
"No, I'm not okay. But something, unexpected, has happened, and could cause a disruption or two, unless we keep this private to each other."
Ink had said, giving Blue a side-glance, before shifting uncomfortably, slightly fidgeting at the slightest hint of movement.
"And what event has occurred, to make you, a soulless being, quiver at the very thought of it?"Blue said, giving Ink a half concerned, half curious look.
Instead of responding to Blue's question, Ink held up one, singular, object, and all at once, Blue understood the severity of the situation and no further conversation was needed to grasp what had happened.
