"Kristen Jane Grey get the hell off of me!" Aline giggled as she playfully shoved Kris's slight body away from her, "Cut it out!"
"Oh come on! I just want to see who you were talking to! Is it a boy? Is he cute?" She reached for her phone again, but Aline quickly pulled it away. Some bits of the gorgeously painted sunflower on the case flaked off as she did so.
She sighed, "Zach Trent..." she muttered under her breath.
"ZACH?! Are you guys a THING?"
"No. We've just been... talking for a few days," her face turned more red than a rose. Her light freckles almost disappeared with the flush.
Kris strained a smile and bit her tongue. "I hope it works out for you!" She said a little too enthusiastically. She was staring at where Aline's soft ginger hair ended at her shoulders to avoid eye contact.
Aline appeared not to notice. She stood up and hugged Kris, "Thanks, Krissy." She smiled.
Kris smiles back as well as she could, "Want to watch our classic Saturday night movie? We can watch whatever."
Aline smiled and linked her arm with Kris's.

As Kris walked into school, she heard whispers of a new relationship. She didn't pay much attention to it. The bags under her eyes felt as if they would sag down to her knees.
She slumped into her seat and put her head down into her arms. "Did you hear about Aline and Zach?" The boy behind her questioned his friend.
"Oh my GOD! Zaline? They'll be so cute!" she gushed.
Both Aline and Zach are in this class Kris thinks to herself. Not a moment later they both walk through the door holding hands and smiling.
