*Virgil's POV*

It's been a few months since Ro left.

He just got a deal with some big record label to record his music. Which, of course, I'm extremely excited about but I kinda miss my boyfriend ya know?

We still talk all the time over video calls and stuff but still, 6 months is a long time.

He'll be coming back from LA in about another month and a half, and you better believe I am counting down the days till I go pick him up from the airport.

Right now I was walking along the pier, as Ro and I did every morning, looking out at the sunrise.

This was always one of my favorite times of day, this and sunset, when the sky was a range of beautiful colors that just relax you. It's normally when I come up with song lyrics.

I'm too socially awkward and shy as hell to actually sing them in public. That's Roman's job. But that's ok, I like listening to him sing anyway.

I had just got a nice smooth beat going in my mind when my phone rang, it was Patton.

Virgil: Hey Pat.

Patton: Hey kiddo! Are you busy this afternoon?

Virgil: Not really, why?

Patton: Oh nothing big, just wanted to see if you wanted to come have lunch with me and Lo!

I heard Logan distantly over the phone correcting Patton's grammar to "Logan and I," Pat just laughed.

Virgil: Sure, sounds good.

Patton: Great! We'll meet you at the cafe at noon!

Virgil: Alright, see you there.

Patton: Love ya kiddo!!

Virgil: Love you too Dad.

Patton sort of became my "father" when he took me in after mom died when I was 17. Now, 5 years later, he's married to Logan and they're on the brink of adopting their own child.

*Time Skip*

I walk in the cafe at exactly noon, already spotting Patton and Logan in our usual booth.

Walking over to them, I realized that Pat looked extra giddy today. Which meant he probably had good news.

Virgil: You look extra happy today Pat.

I slid into the booth across from them and started fidgeting with the sleeves of one of Roman's hoodies. This one was red with a golden crown splayed on the front, the back emblazoned with big gold letters that said "Prince." Which was both his last name and just happened to be how the hoodie was designed.

Patton: Well that's because I am! We just got word that we have a potential match for a kid!

Virgil: Really? That's great!

Patton: Yeah! He's 3 and his name is Thomas!

Logan: We are going down to the office later for more details.
