Trevor got a hesitant Ember to go to dinner the next night. She was still kinda put off about having to move or having Olivia and the girls move into her house, but she saw the way her father seemed excited about something so she went.

"What is this dinner about, Daddy?" Ember asked from where she sat in the front seat of her father's vehicle. He never let her sit in the front, but he seemed to be buttering her up for something.

"Something special. I just hope that you like it." Trevor spoke as he glanced at his daughter. He pulled into Olivia's driveway before parking. He took a slow breath before turning and smiling at his daughter.

"Daddy-"

"Please just keep an open mind, Ember. I need you to not shut us all out and get all angry. Please just give me a chance." Trevor spoke as he reached over and gently caressed his daughter's hair.

"What did you do?" Ember asked, and Trevor shook his head.

"Let's go in."

When Ember walked into Olivia's house, she realized that something was up. Olivia was too eager when she answered the door and she even gave Ember a hug. Ember went to go find Adalee and Ainsley after Olivia told her too, and when she got to the girls she shut Adalee's bedroom door before looking at the girls.

"Do you know what is up with our parents?" Ember asked as Adalee turned to look at her.

"What do you mean? My Momma is happy, and that's good." Adalee replied.

"I think Momma is happy because she has a new ring. A gold one." Ainsley smiled. She was so innocent and her older sister and Ember quickly looked at her.

"On what hand?" Adalee questioned, as Ember stepped closer to the youngest girl in the room.

"Her left one. It's really sparkly." Ainsley squeaked as she saw the staring eyes of the older girls.

"Gold rings on that hand means that someone got married. My Daddy has a new one on too. It isn't the one he wore while married to my Mommy." Ember breathed.

"Who do you think they got married too?" Adalee asked, and Ember's face went red as she grew angry.

"Each other."

Olivia and Trevor were holding on to each other and kissing each other gently, as the girls came stomping into the room. Ainsley had no idea what was happening, but she just wanted to be included in what the older girls were doing.

"We need to talk to you two!" Ember yelled, and Olivia jumped as she quickly stepped away from her husband.

"Uh, is something wrong?" Olivia asked nervously.

"You two got married, right?" Ember growled, and Olivia quickly looked at her husband before at the girls.

"We did," Trevor spoke quietly. Ember bit her lip before stepping back.

"Why didn't you tell us or ask us?! This is just as important of a decision to us as it is to you two! This is our lives!" Ember exclaimed.

"We love each other, Ember. We want to be together and I'm sorry but you are just going to have to get used to it. Soon, we will be getting a house together and we will be doing everything together as a family of five." Trevor spoke. He kept his arms wrapped around his wife before kissing the top of her head.

The older two girls were in tears and ran off together, while Ainsley looked at her mother and Trevor.

"So you are my Daddy now?" Ainsley asked, and Olivia felt her heartache for Elliot, but she knew that Trevor would be an amazing father to her girls. He'd be the strong man that they need in their lives.

"If you'd like him to be. But we will always still remember your other Daddy. How he gave you and Adalee to me." Olivia breathed, and Ainsley smiled before running over to them. Trevor lifted up the little girl and Ainsley wrapped her arms around Trevor's neck.

"I like you, Trevor. You make my Momma smile." Ainsley whispered into Trevor's ear.

"She makes me smile too. And I like you a lot, Ainsley. You are the sweetest."

At least one of the three girls liked that Olivia and Trevor were married, but the eldest two were a completely different story. They had locked themselves in Adalee's room and refused to come out. They didn't want to listen to what they had to say, because they were so beyond angry and hurt. They both thought that they were trying to replace the partner that had been lost. They didn't know that Olivia and Trevor were really in love and wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. When you lose someone that you have been with and loved for so long, one that you even had children with, it is incredibly hard. And when you start to open your heart again to let someone in, the feeling is incredible.

And the girls just didn't understand that.

"I don't want them to be together," Ember spoke, as she and her new stepsister sat together on the floor.

"I don't want them together, either. My Momma promised to not move on after my Daddy died. And now look what she did."

"I don't like that my Dad is forgetting my Mommy. It's not fair of him to disrespect her by marrying your mother." Ember growled, and Adalee quickly looked at Ember.

"What is wrong with my Momma? She is the best." Adalee huffed.

"She isn't like my parents! They are better than she could ever be." Ember spat.

"No! That's just plain mean, Ember! My Momma raised Ainsley and me all alone, and she worked a lot as an EMT! Your Daddy is just a lawyer." Adalee hissed as they started to fight. Olivia and Trevor had been standing outside the door and listened, and as everything got more heated, Olivia unlocked the door with her key.

"Okay, calm down, girls!" Olivia exclaimed before quickly grabbing Adalee before she could start hitting Ember.

"She said that her parents are better than you and Daddy, and that isn't true!" Adalee cried.

"We are going to have a family meeting about this all. So both of you get downstairs and sit with Ainsley." Trevor sighed, as he pushed Ember towards the door.

"We aren't a family." Ember huffed.
