~Luna Nova's POV~
"Lynn! Audri!" In the midst of an all out war, I noticed how my voice didn't even sound my own. It was fiercer than it'd ever been, stronger. Demanding and full of pride. There was no way I would stage a coup and leave empty-handed. I would return my girls and take out Minette if it was the last thing I did.
I can smell them. But where? Their scents coated each room I'd passed by. That's it. The violet hue grew in emission as it alerted me. They're playing you, fool! Biding time!
When realization dawned on me, I started kicking down every damn door that stood in my way. I thought I'd been at my capacity for anger, but I could feel it rising in me like a ticking time bomb. Breaking loose of my own skin, I could no longer contain the wolf that had been baited out to play. No. To kill.
Just as my howl stopped echoing off the walls, I heard a pained, familiar one not too far in the distance. Grey! And for once, all the voices including my own spoke in unison. Uniting us together in a way we had yet to be by a single purpose. Grey.
Navigating in wolf form is easy, that is if you're outside. Navigating a large, not necessarily fully in control, wolf form indoors was a task in itself. When I heard another yell tear through the air, I whimpered, fearing I would fail in keeping my word to keep him safe.
With no time to think and not having the capacity to contemplate a plan of action, I did the next best thing I could come up with. And that was throwing myself at top speed through two walls until I skirted across the floor. Leaping up and shaking off remnants of dry wall, I found myself dead smack in the middle of Grey and.. older Grey?
From the side I was tossed over some clothes and I slid into them just as quickly as I'd changed form. Silently thanking Gabe for lugging around my attire, I turned to face the man who I knew I'd recognized even without having seen him before.
"You're him." Was all I could think to start with. "The one that laid hand to my Beta."
He quirked his head, amused. "You're her." Grimly, though the smile on his face contrasted with his tone. "The one that's got my pack-"
"You're pack?" I scoffed, laughing bitterly. "You've been away for how long? I think you forgot something."
"Oh? And what's that, little girl?"
You condescending mother- "Our Alpha's right there." I thumbed the air, indicating over to Grey. "You're nothing but a bully. And if there's one thing I don't like.. it's a bully."
He laughed then. "What are we? A pack of twelve year old human children?" He leaned his head to meet Grey's eyes. "This is who you call your Luna?"
I could visibly see Grey tense. "Your Luna." He was to my side and instead of shielding me from him, he stood with me, shoulder to shoulder. "And you'll show her the respect she is owed."
"Owed? What has this mutt done to be owed my respect? She has the pack doing things the Goddess would crawl to the dark side of the moon for!" One thing I had to give him. He was certainly very passionate about his pack and what the Goddess thought of it, even though his means of showing it weren't justifiable.
"Oh the Goddess is on the dark side of the moon alright," I flipped him the bird, "And she told me to tell you to fuck off and go home. We'll deal with you later. You have sins to atone for, starting with Grey and ending with Audri. She'll be the last of mine you'll ever hurt again."
"Yours?" I wanted to ram my fist into his stupid smile. "Let me assure you. Before this ends, the pack will be back under my rule. You," He spoke back to Grey now, "Have clearly shown you're incapable of-"
