8:32 a.m

I opened my eyes lazily against the sunlight that was pouring through the window, the curtains failing to do their job once again. I groaned and rubbed my eyes. I sat up, pushed the blankets aside and planted my feet on the cold, hardwood floor.

I made my way to the kitchen since I couldn't hear my thoughts over the rumbling of my stomach. After I made breakfast, (toast with honey) I sat at the table and looked out the kitchen window that showed the backyard. There was a lot to look at, the warm summer weather put many colorful flowers in bloom, making the backyard look wonderful.

After I finished my breakfast, I went into the living room and sat on the couch. I picked up the remote, turned on the TV and switched to the news station. There was news that the president of Germany and the U.S have some new conflict for some reason I was uninterested about.

I watched the news for a couple more minutes, I decided to get in a nice relaxing shower before starting my day.

9:36 a.m

After I got out of the shower and got dressed, I decided to take a relaxing ride around town on my bike. I grabbed my bag and slung it over my shoulder. I walked out the door, went over to my teal colored bike and put my bag in the basket. I climbed on and started my journey. My town was a very peaceful place where nothing bad ever happened. It was also full of beautiful old buildings.

One of my favorites is the library. It's a brick, two story building that has many potted flowers in the front, and flowers in the planters below the four windows. It's been my favorite ever since I was little.

I rode around for awhile longer, then decided to go to the little bakery in town, Muffin Top Bakery, to get something for lunch. When I got closer to the building, I slowed my bike to a stop and got off. I walked towards the door quickly, trying to get away from the summer heat.

When I opened the door, I was hit with the coolness of the air conditioning and the smell of freshly baked bread. I breathed in deeply and had a coughing fit. I recomposed myself and said hi to the person working before I went down one of the aisles.

I chose what I wanted for lunch and went up to the counter to pay for it, there was a crowd of people watching the TV hanging on the wall. There was another breaking news report about the conflict between the U.S and Germany.

"We're back again with breaking news about Germany. There have been threats from the president of Germany about potentially bombing the U.S due to conflict with our president, here in the United States."

I couldn't hear the rest of it because everybody in the room started talking all at once, and there were even people screaming. There was one person that was trying to get everybody to calm down, but it was hard to hear him over everybody freaking out.

"Hey! Everybody calm down!" He finally yelled loud enough that everybody could hear him, so they quieted down and stopped talking. He stepped up on something so he was towering over everyone. "There were only threats, that doesn't mean that they're actually going to do it! So the best thing that everybody can do is calm down, and go about your day as normal as possible, okay?"

Everybody started talking again like he never said anything. He sighed and got down off his pedestal and walked out of the building.

11:23 a.m

By the time I ate my lunch, I had totally forgotten about the news. But as I rode around town more and heard people freaking out about it, it was stuck in my head. I tried to not think about it as I headed towards the library.

I pulled up and parked my bike. I walked up the path to the building and opened the door. As usual, there were many people here. There was the usual college student studying. I walked over to one of the shelves and looked through it, trying to find something to read that looked half interesting. I got a book, sat down and started reading it to kill some time. After awhile I got up and put the book back. I heard people screaming outside. I looked out the window and saw a blinding light, I looked away and the next thing I knew, the wall exploded and shelves full of books came tumbling down. I was on the floor, people stepping on me, my leg being in so much pain, then all there was darkness.
