One Month Later

One month had passed in no time at all. Sure enough, I got a job at one of the new shops. It was closing time, and I was just about to lock up when I heard noises coming from one of the backrooms.

A sudden feeling of de ja vu hit me as I though of my first encounter with creatures from another world. Hopefully this time it was just going to be a stray cat or something.

But of course, I just don't have that type of luck. Walking quietly, I made my way to the room from which the sounds had come from.

Peering in, I held in a gasp at the sight before me. I ducked behind a wall, processing what I had just seen. One of my coworkers, who I don't know the name of, was pressed up against the wall being held by his throat.

Some alien, one I had never encountered before, was standing there chocking the poor guy. I couldn't just stand there and let him kill the man, but I needed to act fast. My coworker's face was turning red, and he would pass out any minute.

'What would the doctor do?' I asked myself. 'He would have already tracked the alien, and set up some complex trap with the help of his sonic.' I answers my own question. 'But since I don't have a timelord brain or sonic technology, I guess my own mind will have to do.'

Desperately trying to think of something that would at least stun the alien, I got a stupid idea that just might work. Let's just hope I can use my element of surprise to my advantage.

Carefully i lift a chair and creep up behind the alien, hoping to at least stun it. Luckily, the nameless guy was smart enough to act as if I wasn't there.

Soon I was standing right behind the monster, and I brought the chair down with as much force as I could muster. The alien fell to the floor, and I rushed over to the man who was gasping for air.

"That went better than I'd expected. What's your name?" I asked him. "Luke." He chocked out. "Well Luke, let's get out of here before that thing wakes up. Run!" I say, laughing a little. It feels much better to be on this side of the conversation. I grab his hand, and we run out of the shop.
