Emiliana wrapped her arms around her body as she starred at the star filled sky, the full moon illuminating the little town. She still wore the large sweatshirt, feeling too comfortable in it to take it off. Star gazing had always been a favorite pastime for her, she would sometimes sit on her windowsill as a little girl and watch the stars, enjoying her simple life. Now she wasn't little anymore and her life so far from simple, definitely complicated at least. Finding out you're a descendant of a very long line of powerful, ancient vampires can do that to one's life. Her thoughts were interrupted by someone walking up to her on the balcony of her room and standing beside her. She knew it was Jake even without looking, his scent was really strong around her, one of the perks of her new found abilities.

"It's beautiful, isn't it?" She asked still starring at the sky.

"Yes. Very beautiful." He replied starring at the side of her face. Emiliana turned to him and blushed when she realized he wasn't talking about the sky. He leaned closer to her ran his knuckles down her cheek.

"I-I never got to thank you, for saving me." She looked up shyly at him. "If you hadn't come, i don't think i would be here now."

"You don't have to thank me for anything. I would do it all again if I had to." His face was now inches from hers. She could now stare into his eyes which were now a dark yellow with a shade of green. "I would do anything for you Emiliana." He placed his lips on hers and pulled her closely as she arched her neck to kiss him deeper. Her mind always went blank anytime he kissed her like that and this time was no different.

They had to pull apart as they heard footsteps coming into the room but their eyes stayed on each other. Mia walked in holding a small cake with a little candle lighted on top, and her brother behind her. Emiliana smiled as she gazed at the cake.

"Tanti auguri mia figlia" her father walked forward, pulling her into a hug and kissing her head.

"grazie papa" she pecked him on the cheek.

"mia bellissima Emili" Mia hugged her too and kissed her head before holding out the cake to her. "Make a wish, Emili."

Emiliana blew out the candle, knowing exactly what she only wished for.

Emiliana got in beside Jake at the back of the tinted maybach, her driver in the driver's seat and Mia beside him. Today was the day she would get to meet her grandfather and she felt both excited and nervous. Her dad had said it was a two hour drive to the meeting point before they would continue on foot but he didn't give any other detail to explain how they would actually get into a place no human could enter or locate. She turned to Jake who sat coolly as always, he wore a black long sleeve shirt, black jeans and a black biker jacket paired with a black combat boots. She didn't understand his thing with the colour black but he looked hot as hell in black, something she would never admit to his face. Jake smirked as his eyes caught hers, she looked away quickly blushing furiously knowing she had been caught checking him out. She felt a squeeze on her hand and turned to see Jake smiling at her, he pulled her hand to give it small kiss before placing it on his lap and looking forward. Butterflies erupted in her stomach at the gesture and she smiled.

Emiliana woke up to the sound of someone calling her name and lightly patting her arm. She didn't realize she had slept off, at some point the drive had gotten too boring and Jake rubbing circles on the back of her hand really made her feel relaxed. She rubbed her eyes and turned to focus on the person waking her up. Jake sat smiling down at her face, making her realise her head was on his lap, she definitely did not know when that happened either . She sat rubbing her face trying to hide her reddening face.  Jake got out and walked round to her side and opened the door. She got down and smoothed her cloth out. She wore an ash turtleneck shirt with black jeans and black boots.
