The sky looks lonely, Hiroshi Ryuukawa thought as he laid on his back on the itchy grass in his secret hideout. Whenever the raven-haired young adult was troubled, he always took the long walk to this clearing hidden by thick foliage and tall trees. He was so grateful to live near the woods; it was one of the reasons the reasons why he chose to move into the apartment he now lives in.

Hiroshi sighed as he sat up, his gray-blue eyes growing in dread. He didn't want to go home, but the sun was starting to set and he had work in the morning. He didn't want to run into any of his gossipy neighbors. They reminded him of his old classmates in highschool. Always making up rumors about people and things they knew nothing about.

Hiroshi Ryuukawa was not a popular student in highschool; he wasn't even popular now. His looks we're attractive enough, but he always had a very serious and cold look to him. His height (6 feet even) and the scar that ran through his right eyebrow didn't help him to look friendly, either.

In truth, the 22 year old was actually a huge softie and loved cute things like fluffy animals and yummy deserts. You could say his personality was similar to that of a school girl, but his looks scared everyone into thinking that he's a member of the yakuza or something worse.

Trudging through the fallen autumn leaves and shrubbery, the depressed male made his way home. The only one to greet him was his sister's cat, Inu, who hated him. Inu was the one who gave the eyebrow scar to Hiroshi two years ago, right before his sister passed away. The ginger tabby cat was quite old now, as his sister had rescued the kitten from the streets in her way home from school one day and had the vile, clawed, goblin ever since.

"Heya, bud. How was your day?" He asked the grizzled old cat. An irritated hiss was the reply Hiroshi received. He really loved animals and whished Inu would like him I'm return, but Hiroshi's sister was the only person that cat ever showed affection towards. "Come on, Inu-boy. Could you please at least stop hissing at me? I'll settle for dirty looks instead of you have to hate me." Inu hissed again before darting to his kitty condo that was on the bottom shelf of Hiroshi's only bookcase.

Sighing, the tall young adult walked to his room to lay down for the night. He didn't feel like eating as he was too irritated to think about finding something to make for dinner. Earlier that day he had found out that another rumor about him was floating around the apartment complex. So far, Hiroshi was the illegitimate son of a yakuza leader, his nickname was "River Dragon" because he was so strong that he drowned several grown men by holding them underwater for looking at him wrong, the government was hiding him out in these apartments due to him ratting out a group of things planning a heist, and now he got his eyebrow scar in a knife fight to the death. Juuuusssttt great.

Trying to push the rumors to the back of his mind, Hiroshi curled up under his comfy blankets. Tomorrow would be a better day, right?

Hiroshi stepped out of the tall building that was were the famous food magazine he worked for was. He wrote columns and reviews of various deserts for their sweets section called Takes the Cake. He used the false name "Hanako Nijiru" because it was more feminine. I mean, who would read an article about bunny-shaped pastries written by a guy? Sounds more legit if it was written by a girl, since those kinds deserts are more of a girlie thing anyways.

The magazine building was a quick walk to the grocery store that was on the way home. Work was slow that morning and now he was making his weekly grocery run. It was fifteen minutes to the store and then ten minutes home. Not so bad. He put in his earbuds and pressured play on his playlist. Hopefully no one would bother him.
