A Walk To Remember

previously:
"Hello" a young mans voice said.
"Can I help you" I said.
"Is this hannah?" He asked.
At that exact moment I had no idea what to say. yes or no???
"This is her" I lied.
"When's our date" he asked.
"I don't know you tell me" I said.
"tomorrow at six" he said.
Then that's when it hit me...this wasn't a random guy...
was it zach? no it couldn't be!!!
wait a minute... Oh my god this cannot be real?
"Austin" I said slowly.
"Yes" he said
"Its Aubrey...Aubrey Burns" I whispered.
The phone was silent for what seemed like forever. For a minute I thought he hung up.
"Hello" I said
"Aubrey" he said
"Yea" I answered
"How are you" he asked.
I was kinda taken back by his question.
"I'm fine, how are you" I asked.
"I'm doing good" he answered
"Cool" i said. Then continued
"So how did you get Hannah's number" I asked.
"Well how do you know hannah" he asked
"Well she's my best friend" I mocked.
"Well that's awkward" he said.
"This is awkward" I said.
"Touché" he laughed.
Oh how I miss his laugh the way he smiled with his laugh was the reason I fell for him so hard.
"Answer my question" I said
"She gave it to me at a meet and greet"
"At one of your shows?" I asked
"Yup, why?" I asked
"She lied to me" I said
"Oh" was all he could say.
"She told me she was going up to her grandparents house, wow" I said
"Maybe she did" he said trying to help me
"Her grandparents live in New York"i said
"And she went last weekend. Were you in New York last weekend?" I added.
"I'm afraid not" he said.
How could my own best friend do this to me, she knew I loved him, she knew I cared for him, she knew I wanted him, she knew everything about me and him. This makes me so mad. I don't even know what to do. Do I confront her or just leave it alone?
"Oh" was all I could say
"When are you coming back to Texas?" I asked
"Not for another month or so" he said
"Why" he asked
" I was just thinking that we could meet up since I never got a goodbye, you know" I said softly.
"I'm sorry about that Aubrey" he said
"It's ok" I lied
"I can come to Texas on my week off" he said
"When's that" I asked
"Next week" he said
"Alright, but do not tell hannah about this" I said
"I will tell her" I added.
"I'm not even interested in her anymore" he said
When he said that it made my heart race. i thought i would hate him after what had happen but I don't and I'm kinda glad I'm not pushing him away like I thought I would.
"Good" was all I could say
"Alright well nice talking to you Aubrey" he said
"Same to you too" I said
"Goodnight" he said
"Goodnight, and text me" I said
"Alright bye" he said
"Bye" i said and hung up.
I still can't believe I actually talked to him. I grabbed another beer can and downed it and just kept doing that over and over again. then that's when I got the idea to call Hannah.
"Hello" she said
"Hannah" I whispered
"What" she said
"Come to the l-liquor store near your house" I said
"Aubrey are you drunk" she asked
"N-no h-hannah" I said
"I'll be right there" she sighed
"Ok" I said and then she hung up
After about 20 minutes she finally showed up. she got out of her car and walked to me. this was the time I was about to confront her. she got to me and I said...
"Why"
she looked confused "what" she said
"Why did you give austin your number" I asked
"What are you talking about" she asked
"You gave austin your number at his show last week" I said trying not to cry
"Oh" was all she said
"Yea, why?" I said getting angrier by the second.

"I don't know, because I've been a fan of his for as long as I can remember" she said

"No you haven't" i said

"When I first talked about him you were like who's that and I showed you pictures of him and you said he was so ugly like that's not what a fan says about someone you idolize" I said

"Whatever I gave him my number big deal" I said

"Did you know that I loved him" I said as I smacked her right across the face.

Did I really just do that?thats when she yelled and I felt her smack me across the face and I was about to smack her again when I felt someone grab me and I saw hannah run away to her car

"Wait Hannah" I yelled, but she already got in her car and left me

I started screaming and the person put their hands over my mouth to stop me. they brought me to the front of my car and that's when I saw who it was. This can not be real, but i thought he was gone

"A-aust" I was cut off

"Shhh" he put his fingers to my lips. I gulped really loud hoping he did not hear me

"Aubrey" he whispered in my ear

"What" I swallowed

"I love you" he said and that's when I woke up the sound of someone banging on my car window.
